I recently bought earrings for my girlfriend, (allergic to nickel) from this location and unfortunately she had an allergic reaction despite the labels on the earring. Although that was disappointing, the reason I’m leaving the review is because of how I am always treated in the store. Cashier Kay S did not want to accept my return without a receipt which is fine but when I found my receipt I was being treated as an annoyance, as I often am when I’m alone in the store, and was dismissed quickly. I bought these earrings as a gift and used my birthday coupon to receive money off, I was hoping that since my girlfriend had an allergic reaction that I could still use the coupon for a different item. I was quickly told no for multiple reasons and again quickly dismissed. I understand mainly girls may be the shoppers of this store, but it would be nice to be treated with courtesy instead of as a burden.

Not very impressed. I loved the clothes in the store and truly felt like they were high quality. I've had some dry cleaned and others machine washed per the exact instructions. In all cases they lost their fit and original sizing(shrunk). Just disappointing, there are other brands at better price points that hold up really well. I bought into the idea of slightly premium clothing.

I came in with a complicated return and Michele was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. She really went the extra mile for me and I am so grateful. The store is always clean and beautiful.

I'm a long-time J. Crew fan, especially for workwear. Since Madewell appears to be JC's hipper, more casual brand I thought I'd order some cute items online during a Labor Day sale. Unfortunately a pair of jeans (which seemed to be "vanity sized") and dress didn't fit me well, so I decided to pop in here and exchange or return the items. As another reviewer mentioned, the environment wasn't friendly. I was greeted by two employees, yet in a insincere and almost obtrusive way. Despite being one of two shoppers in the store, I single-handedly rifled through the stack of jeans looking for my size and neither of the employees asked if I needed any assistance. I couldn't find my size, and honestly for the $$$ of the items here I gave up. I ended up returning my items (the employee who processed the refund didn't ask if I'd like to exchange or find a different style). I headed over to Nordstrom afterward where I found a much more helpful salesperson, another pair of jeans that fit better, and were on sale.

I really enjoyed coming into this store! I was immediately greeted and ask about my day and that made me smile and feel comfortable :) All the clothes they had matched my aesthetic so I was thrilled to shop here. The employees here were very helpful and kind when it came to helping me find my size and checking if they had an item online. The dressing room is also nice :)

Nice store, nice selection. Albeit, rude manager! So weird, made you feel like you were inconvenienceing her! Had a bad attitude. Hopefully it was something personal, but she should know better. Other associate tried to help, but manager interrupted her! Won't be back!

I love going into Madewell! The employees are always so helpful! When I was having a hard time picking jeans from their large selection, a sales associate helped me find my perfect pair! I highly recommend dropping by!
