Mass Ave Knit Shop is a great local yarn shop with a huge and wonderful variety. It offers a large selection of yarns in all weights, colors, and materials from many brands, plus all the necessary tools like hooks, needles, and trinkets. The staff and owner are super friendly, incredibly helpful, kind, sweet, and patient, creating a warm and inviting environment. It is a very cool store where people of all ages often gather, just chillin and crafting. They provide great knitting classes. Some note the rear access is difficult and it has a single unisex bathroom. The location may be poor for those not living in the Fountain Square area, but many highly recommend stopping by this gem.

I stopped in looking for yarn for a sweater. Though I couldn’t find the right kind in my price range, the people there were very helpful with discussing the gauge, correct weight, and amount of yarn for my project.
