Military Park is a historic 16-acre green space located at White River State Park, once a Civil War encampment and the site of Indiana's first State Fair. The park is shaped like a military badge and features memorials, open lawns, and walking paths, making it a peaceful spot for reflection and casual strolls. It hosts various community events such as picnics, reunions, concerts, and festivals, including the popular Water Lantern Festival, which offers beautiful views and local food vendors. Visitors enjoy activities like paddle boating, kayaking, and listening to live music. The park is well-maintained, with clean walkways, ample parking, and plenty of space for games like frisbee and ball play. While there are some construction activities around the perimeter, they do not hinder access to this inviting and enjoyable park.
