Terrible company to work with. Go elsewhere. You are just a number, you don't get any regular rep, the provide incorrect information then have no desire to make it right.

PLEASE DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. We all have issues with turnover and staffing especially these days. However there is truly no excuse for the multitude of payroll issues including taxes not being withheld, employees completely disappearing from payroll and Paychex having no record of where they went, Inability to get ahold of any team member much less your "dedicated payroll specialist". I write this review as a warning in hopes to save other small businesses from the headaches that come with working with paychex for small business payroll. I switched to another company and myself and my team have had nothing but great experiences so far.

Worst service ever!!!!! The randomly take random amounts of money from your account even when you're not using their services!!!!!! Had to close my bank account and open a new one just to get them to stop!!!! After being told multiple times to cancel ALL SERVICES with them they have yet to cancel and continue to draw massive random amounts from my account. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!!!!!

Paychex sold us on the simplicity of administering payroll, benefits, and COBRA coverage and failed on all fronts. They missed our benefits renewal date which locked us into a plan before we could compare others for pricing and coverage. Customer service is not good, and addressing issues up the admin food chain is pointless - nothing was done about the issues we experienced. Latest and last issue - they failed to mail out W-2 forms in spite of multiple calls and emails reminding them to do so. We no longer use Paychex and would highly recommend no one else does, either.

Paychex has been an asset to our company and helps us with our payroll/insurance/HR needs. Easy to use portal and you can always call your account specialist to help with something you get stuck on.

This has to be the worst company in the world! They failed to get us properly setup or trained, we had to go up 3 levels of supervisors to finally get off the ground. Then, they messed up and dropped our HR platform randomly, which took months to get back in place. There were so many mistakes after that they are too many to list them all out. Then, when we finally got rid of them after filling out multiple various forms, they continued to charge us...so we had to block their charges with our bank despite hours of multiple phones calls to them. There is no support from this company and everything is so separate that you cannot get anyone to help you with anything other than the 1 person assigned to that area (hope they return calls or are not out as they rarely returned our calls). We spent dozen of hours trying to make it work and thousands of dollars wasted. So, this is your warning not to use this company!

I have now had 5 different payroll specialists. The last one I had never returned any of my calls. She didn't have her phone set up correctly so when you tried to go to someone else it always gave an error. I escalated and asked a manager to call me back and received one days later. I was told I'd get a new payroll specialist but got redirected to the one who NEVER answers her phone and the redirection to another payroll specialist isn't set up. VERY VERY VERY FRUSTRATED.

Go for Lyons HR or somewhere else.We had serious payroll issues with Paychex and our rep or the manager was never be available to address. They paid all employees double salaries, did not include entire personnel salaries, were not withholding employee taxes, DID NOT FILE BUSINESS TAXES etc. I would dread the payday wondering what surprise we are getting this time. Hence we switched to Lyons HR and receiving excellent service.I still get solicitation calls from them Paychex, not sure what makes them think I would waste a minute on them. I sent them the IRS letter showing they are suppose to file for us, but no response from anyone. The list goes on but I have to file those taxes myself so will stop here.Update after 3 years:Our tax issues from their payroll is still lingering. They simply won’t correct the forms, instead we decided to pay the tax withholding shown as a result of their incorrect forms, when its not an actual withholding on our end.

I am really dissapointed with my experience here. I was referred by a friend and have never heard from the rep that I was referred to. I had my SUI set up by one of their 3rd party partners and it was done incorrectly resulting in several notices from the IRS and my filings for Q4 and Q1 being late resulting in fees to me. Two thumbs down

My company has had nothing but issues with them. They didn't get our staff entered into their system until THE DAY PAYROLL WAS DUE. I was scrambling to try to fill in where I could but I am no expert on the platform so it wasn't very helpful. I reached out to our Paychex sales guy and our Paychex payroll specialist and rarely got a response. If I did get something, they were not helpful. Our owner was getting IRS notices that taxes were unpaid because their sales guy missed entering a SSN so they couldn't file them. Not once did they reach out to let us know of this issue even though they knew this was the case. They just kept missing the tax payments. All of this while their sales team was contacting to sell more stuff. I've never had such a bad customer service experience. They never took responsibility and never tried to make things right. I will never recommend them and will never consider doing business with them again. Now, I have wasted countless hours getting Paychex figured out only for the business owner to switch to something new because of the terrible service. Not excited to go through the entire setup process with this again.

Apparently they withheld our payroll taxes and never paid the government. Currently seeking counsel as Paychex breached their fiduciary duty.

Frist, If I could provide 0 stars I would. They intentionally build their departments to prevent accountability and a points of contact you can consistently reach. So if you are experiencing an issue, you will be unable to speak with the same person each time you attempt to resolve.I inherited my mothers 401K account upon her passing. Her previously employer had gone out of business and no longer able to be reached. They refused to release her funds until I obtained a signature from an individual who no longer worked for the company (since they closed their doors and went out of business). They provided me no help on locating her, I contact the old president of the company who provided all supporting documents and tried to help me get these funds released, but they refused to acknowledge his role, since he was not listed as an authorized administrative support on the original setup of services. They provided no 3rd party administrator to help negate this, after nearly a year of searching I located the woman through facebook. Then, they withheld ALL of the plans past due fees from my mother disbursement check. They made zero attempt to help me, or make this situation right. It was stated to me each time I called the 800# that it is my problem to resolve. Even my probate attorney was at her wits end. If you are looking for a company who choses to take no responsibility for the fiduciary responsibility this is the company for you!

I HAVE USED PAYCHEX FOR 10 YEARS WITH LITTLE TO NO PROBLEMS HOWEVER, I HAVE CALLED OVER 6 TIMES TO REPORT PAYROLL AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY ATTENTION. GRANTED COVID HAS HAMPERED ALOT, BUT AFTER 6 MONTHS OF IT SURELY THEY COULD FIND A WAY TO WORK AROUNDIT
