This shop is awesome and a must-see when in downtown Indianapolis. The owner Kim is super friendly and kind, helping with recommendations for some great sodas and candy. I highly recommend this awesome shop, it's more than worth it to check it out if you're in the area.

Drove and hour and half to this place with a car full, called before we came AND door says 6 pm. It’s 4 pm. They’re closed. ?

A bit pricey, but it is unique, mostly small batch sodas. The 'dirt soda' is exceptional.Vegetarian options: They sell bottled sodas and random snacks.

Neat candy store with wide variety of sweets. Great place to pick up some nostalgic sodas or candy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Store was clean and well stocked. They also had some neat wall signs you can purchase as well as some toys. Great place to kill some time or just explore and reminisce on younger and simpler times. Would happily be back to get my sugar fix.

The people here are amazing and friendly. I decided to take my niece and nephew, who had a blast. Litterly kids in a candy store. Kim who was working was super sweet and helpful, as well as I believe his name was Josh? Kids walked away with enough candy to make sure my brother and sister in law hates me :)

Such a fun store and right downtown for all to visit. I checked in on Yelp and got a free goodie bag. I just love reading all the labels of the sodas. They have unique candies in here too! My friend found one she hadn't seen since living in Oregon. Lots to look at and the inventory changes so it's always fun to bop in for a look.

Been going to Rocket Fizz for about 10 years. Have never been disappointed by what I've purchased. Though I do not recommend drinking the buttered corn soda. That one is strictly for display. Ironically the Grass and Dirt Sodas are very drinkable.Probably the largest selection of different Root Beers in the country.A wide variety of old school candies. Plus candies from other countries. I actually bought all the salty licorice today as they don't often have this. Google salty licorice...warning it's savory, not sweet. In addition to wonderful sodas and candies, they have the walls covered with metal posters aimed at adults.

Kim is such a great owner and staple of Indy. I had the pleasure for working for her right after the 500. Her store is an incredible trip down memory lane that is filled with awesome candy and sodas. Shop local and support Kim! I know I will!

Deciding to walk around downtown Indianapolis for dinner options and wanting to immerse myself in the local scene, I came across Rocket Fizz candy shop. Rocket Fizz seemed out of place for a candy shop in a downtown merchant atmosphere, but then again, it's Indianapolis. My stomach had been grumpy and needed something to quell that, so I decided to go inside to see what this shop was about. It's basically a retro shop that seemed a flashback to the early 2000's or even the mid 1990's. It was a step back in time really. There were a lot of candy options you can purchase. The store was empty when I walked in around 6pm on a Thursday afternoon. It was crazy since sunset didn't happen till after 8pm. And so, I looked around and found a Red Bull esque type of drink in those commercial refrigerators. Usually the drinks are found in the back of the store. I decided to purchase one, just because u needed it to function. They do sell other things but the candy I think was their primary sales. The ambiance was quiet and almost like it could use a music system to liven things up. For the most part though, it was an interesting experience here at Rocket Fizz candy store. The store itself was organized masterfully and it was definitely clean and aces in my book. If you're in the area and enjoy sweets and vintage candy brands, consider coming here to Rocket Fizz in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The overall experience here at Rocket Fizz store in downtown Indianapolis Indiana was quite a departure from the usual typical tourist thing that most people do. It was a step back in time in cozy surroundings for sure. The store itself isn't large but small enough to be submerged in such nostalgia. I can still remember parts of that era, that's when the internet was still in its infancy and smartphones were not even available yet. Such simpler times. I ended up paying cash vs pulling out a credit card since they posted a credit card limit on it on purchases. It was a good to be able to recapture that part of my life while shopping and looking around here. The drinks that were on sale were basically like like Red Bulls, way too sugary and sweet for my own good, but was needed. The guy at the counter was cool and friendly. Service was great and quick too. Definitely a hidden gem if you love candy and the nostalgia of a bygone era. Come to Rocket Fizz in downtown Indianapolis if you're in the area.Rocket Fizz is located at 55 Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. It's located next to a cluster of shops circling Monument Circle itself. They accept major credit cards, with a purchase minimum. They also will gladly take cash too. Not sure about parking options, although there are some places to park on the street. I basically walked from my hotel on Washington Street to get here. I bet that the IndyGo bus system can also get you here as well. I'm just a tourist exploring the SW downtown Indiana corridor. If you are staying in downtown Indianapolis, it's a nice walk to hear for a slice of nostalgia. If you're in the area, pop on by.4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.0 stars for the ambiance and service. Support local!B

Why don't candy stores like this exist anymore? We're so glad we found this one! It's a store full of treats and trinkets that you don't really need but if it's in front of you, you can't live without it. We spent more money here than we expected, but we don't regret it!
