Just left Salon Centric in Castleton, it was as busy as can be and their registers were giving them an issue and running so slowwww!However the girls working behind the counter ROCKED IT OUT!! I know they were stressed but they didn't show it and I didn't hear one person in line complain, they deserve recognition for the way they handled today, maybe a big ol' bucket of Rita's!! ❤

First and foremost I want to say I normally always love every experience coming here and I would normally give it a five star rating. The employees go above and beyond and are always so nice and are eager to help. You never feel like an inconvenience and they always greet you with a smile and ask how you are. Today, this evening after work I had a negative interaction at this location, though it was with the District Manager. I had previously called on my way to work this morning because one of my recently purchased products seems old, the other was way too heavy on my hair, and I gained permission with Liz to bring them in and exchange them since they were just purchased and used only twice. The liter of shampoo that seems old (which hasn’t been an issue here previously though this brand is relatively new to me and I love the oil) has small tiny texture in it that is a moisture shampoo that leaves a bad film on your hair. I used this shampoo literally only 2 days on my hair. I grabbed what I wanted to exchange my products out for knowing I would pay more and headed up toward the register. There was an employee I didn’t recognize working with another employee I’ve seen before. I started to take the products out I was going to exchange and the lady I hadn’t seem normally next to an employee That did look familiar to me picked them up and said “You can’t return these”. I told her I had called earlier and spoke to Liz and gained permission. She told me she was the District Manager and that she is over Liz and she is not going to allow me to return them there is way too much product gone. I informed her I just bought them a few days ago and tried them literally for two days. That is all and before I could tell her that one product had something wrong and the other reason she didn’t care to hear any of it and her irritation was further growing. She cut me off and said I am not allowing the return I am the District Manager. This is all she said to me and I stopped at this point and felt her unfriendliness and put all my things back into my bag and left the store. As a customer of this location and this company for 8 years now and in customer service for over 20 years this experience was highly disappointing. I have spent a lot of money with this company and every person that comes in this door every time deserves to feel loved and cherished as a person. I got nothing further spoke to me as I put my things in my bag. She did not even say I’m sorry I couldn’t help you today is there anything else I can do for you or even ask what made me want to return them? There was something wrong with the texture in the shampoo with tiny beads that left a heavy film on your hair and when I got home with it the day I purchased it recently I thought I felt light and not even full and thought maybe with Lanza products in the liters that’s just how they sell them as I’ve never purchased any liters in that line before. I didn’t like being accused of using a lot of it when that wasn’t the case at all and I only wanted to exchange it because it isn’t able to be used because it makes your hair have a film. It actually wasn’t even full when I got it to the top. It isn’t always what you say it’s how you say it. As a District Manager you should want to come across friendly to customers and kind. I would think even if you can’t resolve all of a customers needs you would want to try and want to make a customer leave smiling and feel like they had a pleasant experience. Instead she made me feel like I did something wrong and shamed. Today I had my first unpleasant experience at this location and it wasn’t due to any regular employees that I normally encounter here. She may be a very nice person normally but her customer service today was not a good and doesn’t represent the company well. Maybe she’s normally great at her job but I found it offensive.

I am always greeted with a smile and asked if I need any help finding anything or have questions about products. Everyone is always very friendly and professional. They are always ready to go the extra mile to help you find what you need and make sure you get any discounts and current deals. They are all about helping beauty professionals and you can tell that they love working at Salon Centric and being a part of the beauty industry.

Had such a pleasant experience! They did not have what I needed and the woman at the front was so sweet and helpful and ordered the items I needed for me. I didn’t get her name but she had purplish hair and glasses. Thank you for being so awesome!
