Save your money and eat somewhere else. $20 for a pastrami sandwhich and the meat didn't even cover the bread. Not anywhere close to what they used to give you. This place has gone down hill. Skip it.

I got food poisoning from a breakfast sandwich here. Don’t recommend the eggs.

While the staff is very friendly and work fast, the food we ordered was awful. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a bagel that had the smallest disc of sausage on it so half of my sandwich was bread, and my coworker got a bagel with cream cheese. We got on the plane and his bagel had no cream cheese. Not worth what we paid and I was pretty disappointed that we could have gotten better from a Dunkin on the way to the airport.

Hot, fresh, delicious corned beef and sauerkraut! Unfortunately, the customer experience and customer service is absolutely terrible because of the employees who couldn’t care less about you being there. This would be a five star review if they only said “hello.” Experience with the supervisor/manager was particularly negative, which clearly infects the whole place. Too bad.

Got chicken salad sandwich on rye. Bread was very stale. The crust was as crunchy as croutons.

Were out of several menu items, had to settle for roast beef that was 75% fat. This location used to be pretty good and exceptional by airport standards, it's fallen behind by IND standards.

Could only eat 1/4 of my sandwich, the roast beef came out of a steam table and was tasteless. The staff were all talking about stuff as I patiently waited. I finally had to ask them to take my order. Would NOT eat there again

Shapiro's Deli at the airport is a nice feature at the airport if you just want a sandwich or salad on the go while waiting for your flight. This is nothing compared to the original location on S. meridian st., since it is in the airport, but it has the same style and main menu items that you would get at the original location. The service is very good and professional. They take good care in preparation for your sandwich or salad. The ambiance is nothing spectacular or to write home about, but is nice and offers a seating area for you to sit down and enjoy your sandwich or salad. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and a side of potato salad. Both were amazing and tasted spectacular!! They were very fresh as well! Shapiro's Deli uses nothing but the freshest ingredients in preparation for their sandwiches and salads. When I am at the airport, I try to stop at the deli for a sandwich while waiting for my flight, because I know I am going to enjoy it and get my money's worth. I highly recommend Shapiro's Deli if you go to the airport and want something to eat. It is wonderful.

Excellent corned beef sandwich on homemade rye bread. Really exceptional quality.

Eggs and bacon unrecognizable. The eggs were precooked & rubbery and no taste and the bacon was some overprocessed meat by product. It was really bad.Even had to go back and get s&p butter and jelly so service is lackluster as well. They didn't throw that in the bag.

Corn beef is excellent. The in house rye bread is good too. Everything else is very bland and expensive. Desserts are decent.

My dad, being from Indy, RAVES every time I'm in Indy to go to Shapiros. However, their mall location just is not great. My biggest issue with my sandwich was uneven mustard piles and then the sandwich itself had ZERO structural integrity. I'd have been better off eating it like a salad from a bowl as it fell apart pretty much right away (and yes I ate it pretty much right away after it was assembled in front of me).

"What's the pastrami like here?" "I don't know, I've not eaten anything here." When the cashier gives you that response, that's called a red flag. The best pastrami sandwiches in the country go for $20. That's what Shapiro's in the airport charges. Hence, my question. If you think your pastrami is worth $20, your cashier better be singing it's praises. Opted for the roast Turkey sandwich. A cafeteria-style offering on dry, wheat bread with discount Swiss cheese, that wasn't really Swiss cheese. $15. For a dry turkey sandwich. Shapiro's: reinforcing Indy airport's reputation as the worst airport food in the nation.
