Really loved the price for the location and the styling of the room! David was awesome! Made some absolutely delicious cookies that after a long day of walking and site seeing really made my night! We had a the Victorian room and slept like rocks! Great place to stay overall!

A charming Bed and Breakfast at a reasonable price (depending on when you book).

Loved this place. Loved David even more. So attentive, and willing to help! He truly loves his job and treats every guest like a celebrity. I’m so pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, I never had to ask for anything extra, everything was exactly where it should be. We stayed in the carriage house, and it had plenty of room for the 3 of us for our girls trip. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully set up. The house was gorgeous. We will definitely be back next time we come to Indy!! Thank you Stone Soup Inn! Thank you David!!!

I stayed a night at the Stone Soup Inn with a group of gals for a girls night. We arrived mid afternoon on a Saturday and even though we were one of many group arriving at the same time, David the Innkeeper, welcomed us with a warm smile and took the time to talk to us and show us around the place. I was fascinated by how old the house was, and how the owner took great care in making sure that everything in the Inn felt warm and cozy, and it all matched the outside of the house. It was beautifully decorated.David answered all of our questions, and made sure we were comfortable, and knew that he was around if we needed anything. He definitely made our stay a good one. I can’t wait to come back with my husband and stay for more than a day.Walkability: We didn’t do much, but there was a Kroger and liquor store both in walking distance. And if you like old architecture and beautiful scenery, just taking a walk around the neighboring blocks and peeking at the homes and foliage was a great way to spend an hour or two.

This is a great B&B - something I was worried about doing since I'm usually a big chain hotel guy. Nikki and David were great hosts. The room was very clean. My girlfriend and I loved it and would definitely stay here again. Quiet but yet a short walk to The Garage and Pins Mechanical (highly recommend both for a night out). We'll be back!

A group of ladies and I had a girls night out planned and all stayed at the Stone Soup Inn upon arriving David greeted us with a smile and offered to show us around. What an enchanting inn. The furniture, architecture, and staff were all equally amazing. I can’t wait to visit with my husband in the near future! Thank you David and Staff for the amazing service and wonderful weekend!

Enjoyed my stay at the Stone Soup Inn! Unique location with access to many great restaurants, shops and places to visit while in Indy. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I stayed in the carriage house for 4 nights and it had plenty of room and WiFi and tvs all worked fine. The kitchenette was the perfect size and I was also able to do a load of laundry before I went back home. Now this is an older property so the room isn’t state of the art but it does feel like your staying at a friends place rather than a hotel. I prefer that. If you want fancy go pay double somewhere else. Want homie then this is the place for you. I did not try the breakfast because I do not usually eat breakfast but it is a small place with a small staff so don’t expect a Embassy Suites Buffett style breakfast. The staff was pleasant enough so I’m sure if it’s busy they will accommodate you as soon as possible. The parking is limited in the small lot but there is plenty of street parking as it’s located in the middle of a neighborhood. Overall a great stay and great place for a quiet stay away from the norm.Rooms: Room was cozy and perfect for my needs. I will return!Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants and activities near by. College street not too far away has lots of bars and restaurantsWalkability: There’s lots of things nearby and it is walkable. Feels as safe as any neighborhood to me.Food & drinks: Lots of great small restaurants near by. Try The Gallery on 19th or a local fave Yats not too far away.

Our family booked three rooms for an overnight stay on a Saturday night in September and fell in love with the Inn. The staff at the Stone Soup Inn makes this a 5 star stay! David showed us through the Inn, how to access what we needed and even brought my sister-in-law a cup of coffee! The ladies who checked us in and out were great, we all felt welcome and right at home during our stay. The rooms, and the public areas are beautiful, we were lucky to have great weather and time to enjoy relaxing on the front porch. The breakfast table set up was elegant and the food was delicious. Wonderful experience, hope we can return for another stay soon.

We were not sure whether to stay because a few of the reviews were mixed. But now that we’ve checked out, I can’t figure out how anyone had anything bad to say about the stone soup inn. The location was perfect, minutes from downtown. Close to the highway. We chose a loft for the private shower. The room was clean, and comfortable. The staff was so kind, even helped my husband lug our bags up both sets of stairs. There is also a self serve breakfast set up in the mornings 7-9:00, and 8-10 on saturdays. Another perk, is free off street parking. We would recommend this place again and again. I will preface this and say, if we had children with us, there wouldn’t have been enough room. But for 2 adults, this is the most perfect accommodations.Nearby activities: Within minutes of the Indianapolis speedway, as well as downtown.Safety: I never felt unsafe, we had our own key to the property as it remains locked. Our car was in their driveway, off the street
