Since being at the Avenue, I’ve had nothing but good experiences. Alejandro has been so helpful with the whole process. He answers all questions with confidence and knowledge. 10/10 recommend going to him with any problems you have, he is always happy to solve them!

Very expensive rent, they nickel & dime residents with numerous extra charges. The management still hasn’t fixed the electronic lock system that locks out residents. Simply terrible! I hear about it & pay the bills for my student who lives there.

I called inquiring about a specific unit and how I could apply and what requirements would need to be met, Alejandro helped me and answered all of my questions and even gave me some recommendations for the area since I’ll be moving from out of state. Great management!

Beware - The Avenue is a greedy establishment. They will charge you ridiculous fees at the end of your lease. Like a $60 fee if you do not return a non-reusable parking sticker by 12PM on the day of checkout. Does not matter if you go back and return the $0 value used sticker the next day. They will still charge you $60 for something that has no value. Clearly a parking sticker also does not cost $60 to even produce. Just exorbitant fees for no justifiable reason. And if you don't pay the $60 they will send you to collections and try to ruin your credit - BEWARE

Where should I start?? First of all, I have never taken the time to write any kind of review for any business or apartment complex on Google. This place is worthy of the review. The Avenue is the most disgusting and joke of a place as they come. Be prepared to spend a lot of money for a lot of nothing. Awful appliances, terrible management, very clueless staff for the most part, extreme electric bills along with overpriced rent every month. DO NOT live here if you wanna save money and not be miserable!

I have lived here for 2 years and still have 1 year left on my lease. The first year and half I lived here, everything was great. We had great staff, and good maintenance people. Everything was well taken care of and I enjoyed my time. HOWEVER in the last 6 months they have switched people working in the office and the maintenance team and this place is atrocious now. The doors to my building are now always unlocked which is very unsecured. The pool is always green and never taken care of. The pool gate has been broken for weeks so now members of the public use the pool. There is also constant trash all around the complex.

I don't live here and never have. But my girlfriend and several friends live here and based on their experiences I think the management is inattentive and indifferent to their tenants' concerns. The communication is also poor. The apartments are nice, and the location is convenient if you are a student or work at IU Indy. For people without a car, this may seem like one of the most obvious choices. Regardless, for the price, this place should be better. I'm frankly suspicious of whether management knows they don't have to be better for the aforementioned reasons. A few examples I've seen:- Charging three months worth of a utility bill with ~2 days notice before it was due.- A new roommate and pet moving in with no notice.- Instituting a fee for every day you don't pick up your package starting 3 days after its arrival.I'd say future students and people employed by the university should think twice before moving to the avenue.

Most of the good reviews you see here are written by the people who work in the office. The avenue is possibly the worst place to live in and here's why:1. My apartment got flooded on christmas and nobody picked answered phones, luckily the maintenance guy was of great help and was able to get a hold of the office for me. The Management is absolutely useless and esclate situations rather than solve them. They gave me access to the model apartment for the time-being which had no doors or privacy. On emailing the property manager, Amanda, she had no solutions to my flooded apartment and still had me pay rent for the entirety of the issue. They then forcefully changed my apartment, apparently to which they have the right to change your appartment at any time without your consent. The apartent is yet to be repaired despite the water damage occuring 6 months ago. Keep in mind, no compensation was provided for my damaged property, they gave me a giftcard for $200 ,for months of suffering.2. I have been wrongfully fined $250 for other people partying in the pool area and when i contacted them about it, they told me they would take off the charges if i give them a list of people who did it. They have cctv footage of all the people responsible yet have only charged me. They basically charged me for something i didnt do and expect it to now be my problem to find the ones reesponsible.Overall, this is been the worst apartment experience, any one looking to move in, i warn you, this apartment is money hungry and is run by extremely poor management.

Awful. I’m subletting from someone, I have been waiting on maintenance on my refrigerator for two months and they are in no hurry to fix it. It took maintenance coming out to my unit 3 times for them to even believe there was something wrong. I also work nights as a nurse, and since I’ve been waiting for them I’ve gotten almost no sleep in that time. This is incredibly dangerous for every single one of my patients. Also while I’ve been waiting for them to come and perform maintenance I’ve gotten sick from eating the food.At this point, I’m beginning to look into lawyers, as I know for a FACT that they are in violation of Indiana state code’s landlord/tenant laws. They also refuse to correspond with me, even though I’ve made it clear that my leaser cannot be trusted to relay information. This is the most ridiculous wait time I’ve ever had for a basic necessity. To the Avenue: Do not tell me to contact my leaser. I have already said that they will not communicate. How about you just fix the issue?

Upon losing my job and getting into a car accident, there was no empathy shown. No ability to waive or allow installments for me to catch up on my balance. Essentially forced to be evicted to get the balance and get out of my lease. Be very careful when renting here. The sheer lack of humanity is baffling particularly from the assistant property manager. If you're looking to be treated like a means to an end, choose to live here....
