As far as customer service, the staff is amazing, accommodating, and very friendly. I can say that about all service locations especially the Castleton branch.HOWEVER this bank and their banking systems are extremely outdated and I wish I had known just how bad it was before I decided to open an account with Bank of Indianapolis.For instance, their ATMs are extremely old-school. You have to deposit the cash inside of an envelope and then wait up to "three" business days for somebody to hand count your money, and then deposit it into your account. It's not just readily available like most, if not all modern banks.At one point, and without knowing this ahead of time, I had deposited over $1400 cash for my rent payment in the ATM after hours on a Friday. Coming from a different and larger bank I assumed my funds would be readily available. My rent was due that Monday, so of course this was time sensitive. Not only did it take over five business days for them to hand count the money and deposit it into my account my payment was also lost in the process!!! The staff was of course apologetic but I had to wait while the associates tried to find the money that they had counted but somehow hadn’t made it into my account, causing my rent to be over a week late and of course I was slapped with a late fee from my apartment. With that being said, as inconvenient as it is, I go out of my way to make sure I only deposit during banking hours, and through the drive-through line. I do not even touch the ATM. The customer service number on the back of your card is not 24 hours like most modern banks, so if you do have some sort of emergency, it better be between business hours Monday through Friday and if you’re like me and travel out of town often, that’s an even bigger nightmare.Again, the staff is amazing and very professional but Bank of Indianapolis as a whole needs some serious updates to their systems and ATMs. It’s almost laughable how outdated everything is, and I wish I had known before I opened account with them. Literally a simple update to just the ATMs could cut out so much human error and I'm sure would be helpful to the staff as well

Nicole Buchan is amazing, always ready to help in any way! I moved out-of-state 5 years ago and still choose to use The National Bank of Indianapolis because of people like her!

The Castleton branch is always friendly and helpful, seldom a line. However, the commercial lending department is very "good o'boy". The come up with excessive fees and rates, the loan application progress is ridiculous long, they rope you in and then "skin" you. Always requesting more reports. The officers especially a Scott is rude, does not return calls and truly talks down to you. The commercial lending is a joke with high fees. Watch out
