It's hard to give three stars to a thrift store that has such good intentions. This place supports The Julian Center, which in turn supports victims of domestic violence and their families. I mean, come on. That's pretty great. But three stars means OK, right? This place is A-OK. I wanted to love this thrift store, but instead, I walked away from it thinking it was just fine, in terms of price and selection of clothing. But that's OK. Not every place is for everybody. I'm a seasoned thrift store shopper, and I found the prices a tad on the high end for the selection offered. But maybe you will visit and find the perfect thing for you. Like the name of the store implies, most of the space is devoted to threads. So you'll find mostly women's clothing, and some men's clothing, and even less children's clothing. You'll also find shoes, handbags and accessories. To a lesser extent, you'll also find books, home goods, picture frames, coffee mugs, curtains, sporting goods and a smorgasbord of miscellanea. The people who work here are very friendly and helpful. Some of the more expensive clothing items are locked, so you need to get the attention of someone with a key to unlock it for you. There are people roaming around on the floor, so I easily found someone to unlock the North Face jacket I was eyeing so that I could try it on. It's kind of a bummer that things are locked up, but I guess it is what it is.

Was trying to donate to somewhere besides goodwill. Found the associates to be rude and ungrateful. Guess I’ll look elsewhere next time. Also - their prices are generally insane. Like insanely overpriced.

Much and changeable variety-- better if you're looking for XX rather than XY gear. Well-organized. Certain prices are clearly insane, but most are very reasonable and the merchandise is in very good to excellent condition. Clothing, household, furniture, jewelry, bric-a-brac, and books are well-organized and sorted. Checkout can take some time, but the volunteers here are cheery and helpful. Located next to Half Price Books. Recommended for thrift store hunters.

Super amazing options! Their collection had a bunch of amazing high end clothing brands at super cheap prices! Definitely a diamond in the rough! A huge women's selection with a few racks of men's clothing.

One of the coolest thrift store I have ever been in. High end items to more practical fare. Almost like going to a really unique estate sale. Most of the watches need batteries, but my friends at Irvington Jewelers can take care of that in just a few minutes.I would have purchased the Grandmother Clock they had on my first visit. A true bargain at $300. But it would not fit in my friend's car.

I didn't know Thrifty Threads was there until I needed to go to Half Price Books. I was thinking thrifty threads they must have good stuff with good prices. I was in and out of that store in 5 minutes I could not believe how expensive everything was. I saw the cutest chair that would go perfectly in one of our rooms I was thinking it's probably priced around $35, it was $175.00! Are you kidding me for a small chair? I continued to walk the store and look at items that I thought were really cool and looked at the tags and all the prices were 200% over what they should have been, I could not believe how expensive everything was and in this store is called thrifty? I was reading all the other reviews and people saying their prices were good I don't know what they found that was so cheap but it's hard to believe anybody could find anything at a reasonable price there. Very disappointed ☹️ and also not one associate said hello welcome can I help you is there anything I can find for you etc. I don't know how they're staying in business.

Great place to shop if you are average height. I wear petites and there are very few and not separated out. Good array of clothing.

Good organization I the store, inflated prices throughout the store which sadly meant there was a 10 minute experience for me. I'm not paying $10 for Kathy Ireland clothes from K-Mart and I will die on that hill. Also taking into the consideration of the parking situation and location of this place. Although I don't live in Indy, I know this location and the parking lot is always busy and the light getting you back onto 86th is always short.

Nice items, good prices. Very odd - not one employee spoke a single word to me, even when I asked one to put some jewelry aside while I shopped larger items. Strange vibe.

This thrift store supports a good cause...the Julian Center. They carry a range of donated items from household goods to clothing and jewelry. The merchandise is well displayed and clean. You can find antiques, jewelry and interesting vintage items. I never leave empty handed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices can be high, but they mark down things after they have been there too long. On Mondays, they offer 20% discount to seniors. It is also a good place to donate items. The money helps support victims of domestic violence. There are no public bathrooms. There is plenty of parking.
