I got two old doors that I used to make a fitting room at my vintage shop. Tim was kind enough to help me find two that would work! A great place to find treasures!

The owner was extremely intolerant and rude to me because I supported Trump. I went to the salvage store up by 96th & Michigan and had pleasant experience without the hate instead. How hard is it to "Be Kind"?

This is the most organized salvage store I've ever seen. And I've been many all over the country. Prices were fair and there is a lot to go through. People were friendly as were the dog and cat. Very nice place. Would highly recommend!

There's not a mess in this place, but there's definitely not a better salvage shop in town. These guys see the value in the stuff today's contractors toss away, and they procure and preserve it lovingly. It's the most organized place I've been in, with rarities priced reasonably to help anyone restore a historic home. As expensive as old home repairs can be, it's nice to have a spot in town that supplies some of those hard-to-find trim pieces and hardware elements that they just don't make anymore. The best part is they know their stuff, and can help you find pretty much anything you would want or need. If you're like me, you'll get a bit addicted to it, trying to collect matching sets to replace all the builder-grade crap from hardware superstores that you wished had a story and a personality. Well, it's all here, at a Another Fine Mess.

A gem in the city. Absolutely the place to be when you are looking for that old vintage piece of furniture or hardware! This place is HUGE when you take the time to explore the upstairs and basement. Don't hesitate to ask the employees when you are looking for something specific, otherwise you can spend hours looking through all the amazing antiques!

Fun store. If you hang out for a bit, you can get a sense that Tim is a local legend. He and his staff are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable of old stuff. Good tunes, fun animals, and quirky vibes throughout. Thanks for your help!

A little crowded but we loved it. We didn't buy anything as we were just taking a long walk to tire the little one out on a nice day. She enjoyed it and wants to come back, especially to see the dog. 4 stars for the experience alone.
