There is no point in making an appointment you will still be sitting for hours. Someone came in and was promised a free oil change and a black man at the front desk said “someone is always trying to get something for free”. I only came here because i put in discount tire wrong and made an appointment here on accident. I will not be returning horrible experience. I made an appointment at 9 didn’t get sat down until 9:30 because it took the man 30 minutes to price tires and sensors for me. I will have been here for over 2 hours.

Normally do all my own maintenance but was having a particularly busy week and decided to try this place out for an oil change and went ahead and got alignment checked too on my wife’s vehicle.
Tires torqued to +140ftlbs.
Oil overfilled by an entire quart and a half.
Old oil filter O ring left on in addition to the new one.
No crush washer used on the new filter.
Not only did I end up having to change the oil myself anyway, but these people are over here doing their best to kill your engine.

Horrible experience. They told me my flat would take 20 minutes on the phone. I got there and the guy said under an hour. I was there well over an hour and a half to get one tire on. If you want fast service and have a four hour drive home. Don’t go here to get service. They’re slow

Went in to have my tires patched. They proceed to tell me my tires were too close to the sidewall. It was 100% able to be patched they just wanted me to get new tires. Go to Discount Tire. 1000x better.

BRANDON BURT should be removed from the front desk. Terrible customer service and tried to overcharge at the end of my transaction.

STAY AWAY: USE TO BE GREAT- NOW TERRIBLE. I was a customer for several years but no longer. A lot of turn over here. Today the staff is very poor, and apparently there is no management. Use to be a quality team, now they simply guess at solving an issue, they do not road test their work, they simply do not care.

Absolute joke. Tire Discounters should rename themselves Tire Destroyers because that’s all they’re good for. I went in to get my tires on new rims—basic, simple—and they still managed to screw it up. Didn’t even balance them right, so now my car feels like it’s auditioning for a rodeo every time I drive. The people working there must’ve skipped Tire 101, because clearly nobody knows what they’re doing. Save your car, save your money, and avoid this circus.

The technician/mechanic (Sam) that assisted me was very knowledgeable and worked through the problem quickly. He listened carefully to me as I explained the problem and was professional and courteous. Thank you so much, Sam. I really appreciated your assistance today

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but my recent experience at Tire Discounters on Michigan Street was so positive that I feel compelled to share. In an era where genuine customer service can feel like a lost art, this location sets the gold standard for professionalism, efficiency, and care.
From the moment I pulled into the lot, I was greeted promptly and kindly. The staff was attentive without being pushy, and they immediately made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another number. The lobby was clean, comfortable, and stocked with fresh coffee and water, which was a nice touch while I waited.
What impressed me most was the transparency throughout the process. The team took the time to explain exactly what they were checking on my vehicle, what needed attention, and what could wait. As someone who is not a tire expert, I appreciated their clear explanations and honest recommendations. They never tried to upsell me or push unnecessary services—something I have unfortunately experienced at other shops in the past. Instead, they laid out my options, answered every question thoroughly, and gave me the confidence to make the right decision for my car and budget.
When it came to the actual service, the efficiency was outstanding. I had new tires installed and an alignment completed in less time than I expected. Watching the staff work as a team gave me a sense of trust—they were clearly experienced, well-trained, and committed to doing things right the first time. The attention to detail was evident, from double-checking torque on the lug nuts to ensuring the alignment printout was perfectly on spec.
The pricing was another pleasant surprise. I had shopped around beforehand and found Tire Discounters to be very competitive, but what set them apart was the value. Not only was the cost fair, but the peace of mind that came with their warranties, free alignment, and included tire services made it clear that I was getting more than just a transaction—I was getting long-term support.
Perhaps the highlight of my visit was the level of courtesy shown by every single employee. Each interaction—from the person checking me in, to the technician giving me a quick rundown of the alignment, to the cashier who closed out my ticket—was friendly, respectful, and professional. It’s rare these days to see a team so consistently committed to excellent customer service.
Driving away with my new tires, I noticed an immediate improvement in ride comfort and handling. Knowing that the work was done correctly and backed by such a reputable company gave me complete confidence.
In short, Tire Discounters on Michigan Street has earned my trust and future business. If you’re looking for a place that combines fair pricing, quality workmanship, and truly outstanding customer care, this is the shop to visit. I wholeheartedly recommend them and will be telling friends and family to do the same.

I took my minivan to Tire Discounters for new struts and shocks. When I picked it up, it was obvious the car had not been realigned — it was making loud rubbing noises that anyone test-driving it would have noticed. I brought it back, and they admitted they had forgotten to do the alignment.
After the alignment, the rubbing noises were still there. I brought it back again, and when I picked it up that time, there were new rubbing noises. At no point was I offered an apology or explanation. The front desk staff changes constantly, so I never spoke to the same person twice. No manager ever contacted me, despite the repeated issues.
We were told we could bring it back again, but after three failed attempts, we decided to take it elsewhere. At the second shop, we ended up needing a wheel bearing replacement — likely due to the misalignments. That repair cost us an additional $700.
Mistakes happen, but there was zero accountability here. We were treated like just another ticket in the system, and I’m not even sure they fully understand the damage they caused. Steer clear of this place.

Brandon was very thorough and attentive with the repairs I needed with my truck today. As well, as making great suggestions for preventive care in the future. Everyone was also very helpful and friendly...I just didn't catch their names.
