I'm so grateful for Mr. Nygaard's help! I was getting ready to do a road trip for Thanksgiving, when just days before my hood would not open. Needing to get it open ASAP so I could take it on the road, I took it to the dealership who not only wanted to charge me $650+ to "fix the hood," they also said they would not have the parts until after Thanksgiving. Mr. Nygaard went out of his way to help me out, even though I was new customer. He literally saved me over $1000 between the upcharge of the dealership and what I would have had to spend on a rental car for the week. He also explained to me exactly what was going on with the hood latch, as he fixed it! My sister could not say enough great things about this shop and I'm happy I took her advice to go here. I will definitely be bringing my car to Nygaard's Service Center for all future needs.

Excellent. We took our car in to be winterized expecting to spend $110 as usual at another place -- the bill was $45. They told us we were in good shape, probably need oil change next year, maybe new tires. Drove us both ways although they were busy.

If I could give this place 10/10 stars I would. I moved to Indy a few years ago and have been dreading the day I need help from a trustworthy mechanic since I don’t have my normal hook ups in my previous city. I was recommended this place by a friend and decided to give it a go cuz regardless any car issue is gonna be costly unfortunately. But they were the most friendly and helpful place I’ve gone to in YEARS. Fair pricing and good communication. I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of or needed to call my dad for help on how to bargain or understand car talk ?

Highly recommend!! Very knowledge and polite, I came in with an oil leak and was getting low oil pressure because of that. He asked the right questions and called me the next morning to let me know he had figured it out and would try to get the part today and Installed. Within 24 hours I was back picking my car running great. He also noticed a wire was shorting out my turn signal and fixed that for me as well. He went above and beyond, was well priced, and even had a treat for my dog!

My son, a local college student, was having trouble with his car. We needed it repaired quickly in order for him to make a 4 hour trip home after moving out of his dorm. Nygaards was extremely helpful, communicated with us on repair options, and got it done in plenty of time for his trip. We couldn't be happier with their understanding of the urgency of the repair and ensuring it was done correctly and professionally. We will definitely be back and refer other parents who need to coordinate long-distance repairs!!

Based on the reviews I found, and the fact that they picked up my call (the other guys never returned my call), I chose Tom Nygarrd's Services Center to have my car's A/C compressor replaced.Through and through, the reviews are accurate: no B.S., fair price, personal, great customer service, etc.Based on quick internet search, I was anticipating a to pay between $1,500 to $2,000 to have my car repaired. Tom's final bill came in at $1,400.Additionally, when I went to collect my car, their computer was down, so I was not able to get a receipt. So, the owner stated that if there were any issues with the car, then he would guarantee to follow up issues if there were any. Fantastic customer service!Now here is the fun part, on my way home, I got a call from the mechanic, saying that if I came back he could get me a receipt. I declined. Nevertheless, mechanic went the extra mile and exceed my expectations.Without a doubt in my mind, I will be coming back to Tom Nygaard's Services Center.Services: A/C installation & repair

Wife has had brakes, tires, and antifreeze leak done here and it’s always been same price or cheaper than other quotes. Just had wheel bearing done and it was quick with straightforward pricing. Recommend.

I've been bringing my car here for several years and have spent thousands at what I thought was a great local business. Today I brought in my car to have a check engine light evaluated and I agreed to purchase the expensive, but recommended gasoline additive directly from the shop. When I questioned the $75 fee charged to retrieve the error code from the vehicle's computer (a charge I wasn't previously informed of) I was told very angrily that they would waive the fee but I wasn't welcome to come back there in the future. These guys are capable of doing some great work and I don't think they're price gouging by any means. However, when a loyal customer asks to be considered for a discount based on recent previous work there are better ways to respond than rage and indignity.Service: General repairs & maintenance
