Mark is not your typical business owner just trying to sell you high end stero. Mark takes his time ask questions and personally pairs the best set up for your budget. Knows his equipment but more than that, takes great intrest in your situation, room size, room, composition, and other details that simply make him outstanding.

I agree with a previous reviewer that Mark at Tone Studio is not "the typical retailer". He is quirky, keeps irregular business hours, and turns the usual retailer paradigm upside down in that he provides better service AFTER the sale than he does prior. It is true that his website needs attention. But, he does not push to make a sale and makes a sincere effort to understand exactly what you want or need before taking your money. His biggest strength is his vast knowledge of high end audio and many years of experience in choosing as well as installing components.I purchased a two channel system from him and was very satisfied with his service and attentiveness. Because of that experience, I purchased home theater equipment from him about a year later. I continue to be satisfied and would recommend him if you are interested in high quality audio and theater equipment.

Mark is a music lover first and maybe not the typical retailer. This surprises some, but he is serious and about satisfying his customers. I'm not sure about some of the complaints posted but suggest he deserves a fair chance.

Does not appear to be an active business. I made multiple phone calls over a one week period and left a message, no response. I went to the actual store during "business hours". No answer, lights turned off and more than a half dozen failed delivery notifications left on the door. This is a shame because there are so few Vandersteen dealers in the midwest. I should have known better based on the webpage.
