Constant disappointment when packages arrive here and then suddenly the delivery date extends 5 days… I truly avoid using USPS because of this place.

Terrible customer service, I made several returns at other locations without a problem but the lady at the counter wanted to try and scam me into buying a bag at this one.

Delivery was set for today before 8 o’clock Friday, August 8, they received it yesterday at 2:29 PM and at this stage in the day at 7:39 PM and it’s on its way to the next destination, which would be Lafayette Indiana than my hometown should be Deliver tomorrow, but I’m not holding my breath.
This facility has consistently had bad reviews with packages, not all time and lost

Echoing the complaints of many others here, my package departed the Indianapolis facility on 7/19 (according to USPS scans) but has been “In Transit” ever since. This is not the first time I have experienced delays from several weeks to several months as a result of this specific facility. I find it ridiculous that a package can make it to the USA from Moldova in as little as 5 days, but that same package has now been stuck in Indianapolis for almost a month. USPS was unable to resolve my issue, and the answer I received from them amounted to “Oh well, mail goes missing sometimes”. I would give 0 stars if I could.

EDIT: Also, if anyone didn't know yet, your missing mail will only be found if it goes to the Georgia facility, aka the missing mail center because your package has actually been looked at and can't be shipped cause there's no labels left (it got ripped off, etc). In everyone's case, your mail is getting piled up, left, not looked at and will obviously not have to be sent to Georgia anyway cause the address is intact.. so it wouldn't even go to the facility. Also, just an extra thing to be angry at, but unclaimed mail in Georgia gets sold and auctioned when they can't find where it's supposed to go. This is how some people on Ebay make money with mystery boxes/packages. It's unclaimed mail. (Og review) I could give no stars I would, you lost a package very dear to me and it cost over $800. I grew up in the Post Office, my Mom was a carrier and my Step Dad too. I would go and stay with them as a child. What are you guys doing? You scanned my package to leave.. it never moved. It's been 8 months, if I could go and find it myself in your facilities I would. Missing mail search was absolutely worthless because it's probably sitting with the thousands of other packages, getting knocked around, crushed, destroyed. My Step Dad laughed when I told him, said it was most likely stolen. I know you don't have enough staff, resources, etc and I sympathize but wow, just.. wow

My package arrived at this facility 3 days ago and still has not made its way to my local post office nor been delivered. I could have walked there (34 hrs round trip) and still received my mail sooner. This is not the first time this has happened.

Good luck to you if you have a package here. It may never arrive

They don't answer their phones and if you need a passport expect an EXTRA 2 weeks just to schedule an appointment and their only walk in hours are when you are at work, so it'll cost you more money too.

Every single time I go to this post office, it’s worse and worse. Why even exist? Shut it down. Dirty, vacant front window during regular business hours, machines always broken and drop boxes out of order. Does anyone even work here? At all?! If being the worst location in existence was the goal: Congratulations, You Win!

Nice people but they are a little bit lazy and say they will do this or that but they never get around to it. Not the way a post office should conduct official business.

I’m not sure which facility my certified letter is sitting at in Indianapolis but it has been there since 6/8/24. When I call the customer care line all I get is the same info I see online. I created a case for someone to call me, we’ll no one has of yet. I’m states it’s is in transit to the next facility arriving late. I mailed it from NC on 6/3/24 it should have gotten there. I did a certified letter a month a ago and it got to MI in about 3 days. Now this one is hung up in IN. They need to do their jobs. I wish I could find the number to the actual USPS store and nite a customer service number. This is beyond frustrating, laziness, and pathetic. They don’t deserve the star I put on here. They need some help.

My priority mail package was scanned into the distribution center on 6/13/2024. It was never scanned out. I have spent several hours of my life trying to find out what happened to the package.
I have submitted multiple service requests that have all been routed to the post office in Natchez MS where the addressee lives.
Natchez postal employee,Taylor, has responded in a very timely manner by calling me notifying me that it never left Indiana. Twice.
Today, I waited on hold for over 45 minutes to speak to a customer service representative who told me that she could only submit another service request that again would go to the post office that services the addressee in Mississippi.
She said that she nor I could reach the distribution center by phone because the employees there will not answer their phone.
I have read the report of the audit conducted by the inspector general’s office recently.Let’s just say that the auditors found it to be lacking.
According to the CSR, there isn’t a way to speak to any employee of the distribution center.
If they have a email address, I cannot find it anywhere. And I have done more than my due diligence.
The post office should have a system in place allowing customers or employees to contact the place where a package was last scanned.
Otherwise what is the point of having a tracking system.
I’m pretty sure that I could reach President Biden if I tried to contact him as many times I have attempted to contact the usps distribution center in Indianapolis IN.
The fact that I had to hold for 45 minutes before an agent was available tells me that I am not the only person who has problems with USPS. And that the agent has no way to solve.
There’s something wrong with that system.
