This location does need investigated by USPS most definitely. I just stood in the lobby holding a package waiting to be helped while the employee woman sat in the office behind the glass eating a snack and playing on her phone. I stood in front of the window for several minutes, waved my arms in front of the window, shouted "Hello?" over the counter, and stood in front of the window again. She ignored me, pretended not to see or hear me for several minutes. I just left my box on the counter without any scan or receipt and walked out without even speaking to a USPS employee.... This location doesn't even deserve the 2 stars it currently has. WOW it's disgusting that taxpayers are funding these useless parasites a "job." Read the other reviews here......

I have shipped boxes from this location and have been told the least expensive ways to do it, even to the point of unpacking and repacking boxes in the lobby. I am an older person and staff has always been super helpful and patient with me and saved me money, which I needed.

This facility desperately needs investigated. The reviews and comments say it all. Even when customers pay extra for faster shipping this facility loses packages and loses mail so consistently it's starting to look deliberate. What is going on to where they can't even track if they've scanned the same package five times already or they see mail that is to be delivered in the same state as the facility but sends it out of state anyway, or just blatantly losing mail? These mistakes could be understood if it were once in awhile, but this is turning into a habitual practice of mishandling mail on a larger scale than it ever should be. What is this place doing different to where their work performance is so vastly worse than other USPS facilities?

For the last couple years, every package I've had processed through this Indianapolis facility has been lost for days; giving me notifications for my packages arriving and departing, arriving and departing, arriving and departing.. dozens of times for days on end at the same Indianapolis location. My most recent package I'm still waiting for has been in this departing and arriving loop from 2/21/24 - 2/23/24 (today) . My package was shipped on 2/20/23 and I paid priority shipping (claiming to be 2-3 day shipping) with the original ETA being 2/23/24 and has now been pushed to 2/24/24. I have mail traveling nationwide and this problem is isolated to this facility only. I don't blame the people who work here, but I do believe the fault lies with management. They have failed to put an efficient system in place and investigate continuous complaints and problems like this. It's ridiculous when mail can't even get out the USPS door. It's incredibly frustrating how consistent this problem is without any attempt at correcting.

Indianapolis Distribution Annex has now lost two pieces of mail. A certified letter from December 2023. I had to re-send out the letter via Priority Mail the 2nd time. For whatever reason it was shipped to Cincinnati. Once Cincinnati realized it should have remained in Indianapolis they sent it back. Once back to Indianapolis the Priority Mail has now been lost. Nearly $25.00 in postage is now unaccounted for. And its all due to the Indianapolis Distribution Annex facility. Something needs looked into. Now I have to spend another $13.70 to try a third time to get something delivered.

Made a passport appointment on 11/28/2023. Appointment was for today 12/9/2023. 1 clerk showed up to work. Numerous people showed for appointments. As much as the one worker who showed up offered to help if she had time, she didn’t, at no fault of her own. However, whoever is in charge of this facility needs to be fired. There is clearly a lack of leadership at this place to allow this amount of people to call off with no respect to customers to give a heads up. I’m trying to get a passport for my son as a divorced mom. Meaning I have less options to do this and have a timeframe on how long this notarized form from his dad lasts.Do better.

I sent a package out to Indianapolis since Tuesday October 3rd, it was supposed to be delivered by Wednesday October 4th, but it never got delivered, today I called to find out what’s going on and they said upon investigation they couldn’t find the package and that it has been declared lost… this is the worst courier service ever….

this post office is a joke, they lose packages, you sell a item a nd buyer pays, then you make the proper label via ebay, item leaves my area and ends up in Indianapolis where buyer is, then these stupid irresponsible postal handlers, either steal the package or lose it, then us seller lose out, NOT FAIR TO SELLERS, THAT WE PAY THE PRICE, FOR INCOMPETENCE FROM THESE POST OFFICES, WHAT A JOKE,
