I drove up from Louisville on short notice, walking in at 4 minutes before close. One might expect a reticent reception so close to closing time. However, the staff member on duty, James (per the receipt) was helpful, personable, and very customer service oriented.While I don’t make it to Indianapolis often, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back if I have another emergent need!

Manager and associate were very helpful. Actually showed my children magazines and talked with them and my wife while I shopped. Makes me miss our west marine in Michigan city near the lake. Hopefully this one stays open.

I just want to give a shout out to Marshall, who was the most accommodating when I asked if a curbside pickup would be possible due to immune issues. He gave me his personal number and told me to call him when I was outside, and he would bring me some options I could choose from. He was very kind and after doing this with 20+ stores during this pandemic, hands down this was the most friendly and above and beyond experience. Thanks so much.

I wanted the new King Crab Orange Yeti cooler for my father and couldn't find it anywhere in stock. West Marine came through for me and it only took a few days to receive it via mail. I'm extremely pleased with the turnaround time and experience as a first time shopper here!

I’ve never had such a horrible experience with a retail store. Hunter (the manager) said it would take 2 weeks to get my shrouds back. At 2 weeks he said he talked to the rigging shop that day, and they were done and should be back any day. At 3 weeks he told me that the rigging shop had messed up the paperwork, but it was sorted and he would send me a tracking number. At 5 weeks I asked for a tracking number, and he gave it to me. When I went to pick it up, it turns out it was just a random tracking number and not my stuff at all. So at this point I call around and get the number for the rigging shop and the guy tells me they’ve just been waiting on parts and it should be here next week, he also tells me that none of the 3 lies I’ve been told are true. The week goes by with no call, so I call, and hunter tells me it’s there. He didn’t even bother letting me know. Avoid this place at all costs.

I purchased a Simrad unit through West Marine online. The website advertised a $300 mail in rebate through Navico. I received the unit and had it installed. Everything was great until I tried to send in for the rebate. It turns out that the rebate was posted accidentally and they could not honor it. Be cautious with ordering from this retailer online. They say orders are taking a longer time than usual. I waited three weeks for my order to be processed which it never did. I called on a friday to cancel this order. I was told it would take 24 hrs for this to happen. 96 hours later I called a 2 nd time. Was then told I’d receive a conformation that order was cancelled. Then was sent a notice one part of the order was shipped. 2 minutes later a second confirmed email that the other half of the order was back ordered. 10 minutes later that since partial items had already shipped they could not cancel entire order. I then went online to set up a return only to find out they expect me to pay for shipping. Never again will I do business with this horrible company. Shame on you for the terrible way you do business. Disgraceful that you steal from people. Shame
