I wish I can give 0 or less than that. Such a bad experience I had with them. Its worst insurance I have ever had. They never respond to claims and give proper info and later they say its not covered as its pre-existing condition though doctor them selves mentioned its not.Reaching customer service is worst and they always give different info and different response every time without giving valid info. I would never ever ever recommend this to anyone.

Please don't even consider this scam of a company. If you have any medical emergency, the claim will be denied via a constant revolving door of reasons. Usually they land on "pre-existing condition", even if it is clearly not related. Purchased a plan for my mother in law when she was visiting from China. She developed a health problem, was treated, then the problem persisted to the point that she needed to return to China for surgery. World Trips has rejected all claims including medical, as well as all trip interruption expenses.

I am updating my previous review from one star to three stars. This insurance company did pay out on my claim but it took them almost five months to do so and I never received any email communication from them.

This should call WorstTravel Insurance because it was the worst experience with insurance I have ever had! They spent almost 8 months analyzing my mother's case and then they said they won't cover anything because their examiners which should know better than the doctors that saw my mother believed her condition was pre existing! I don't recommend this plan to anyone!

SCAM.My family went Bali last December, one member had food poisoning, and it took me 4 calls, multiple emails, an additional letter from the Bali doctor that we visited, to get them to agree that the visit is covered under the insurance.BUT, they just simply don't disburse the money, it's been 8 months now, and each time I called they say "I will escalate this" and "you will get a reply in 2 weeks", and they simply refused to pay up. Even though they approved the claim. They would rather hire an army of service staff to answer calls than pay out the 70 dollar bill to me and many others.

its a scam, I had insurance (or so I thought) and after having a medical emergency had to go to the hospital. When I had to claim the asked for so many documents that I had to go to Freedom of Information to get some of them. It took weeks by the time I got everything they required and then after chasing them for 4 months they denied my claim citing pre-existing condition. This despite the fact the doctors and the hospital could not identify the cause of my condition. How can I have a pre-existing condition if nobody or could discover what was wrong. BTW my condition finished up clearing up itself. So if anybody has any sense, do not use Worldtrips for medical insurance. You may as well not bother having any insurance at all.

WorldTrips travel insurance is a scam. They are either incompetent or a fraud. Our return flight from Europe was cancelled and we had to wait 24 hours for a flight. We had expenses from the delay and I lost a day of work. This insurance was supposed to cover travel delay. We filed claims at WorldTrips site on line and then mailed the claim forms. We did not hear for 2 weeks. We called and they said they were weeks behind in openning mail and we should fax the forms. We did and have receipts that the faxes went through. After a few days we called and they said their fax had not been working even though they had told us to fax. We filed again on line. We have spent over 10 hours trying to get them to pay a simple claim, clearly covered by the insurance. I think they hope we will give up. BTW WorldTrips was rated high by SquareMouth insurance web site, even though there are many negative yelp reviews.

Please be careful from this scam insurance. Even though we proved that condition was unknown and never identified before, we share one year old complete mdedical check report but they still denied all claims. Its like if you get sudden brain problem , its pre-existing because you get headache some time. They will do everything proved that condition is pre-existing. Now i have to take care of entire bill over 30k$. Please please don’t fall into this scan insurance. Their premium is high with no benefit.

An evil scam.I had an accident and had to go through a surgery.I carefully double checked beforehand that all is included in the policy, also through skype and chats with them. Then collected all the paperwork, as it isn't my first private insurance company, and I'm experienced with claims and the necessary paperwork. worldTrips / safetyWing had the most laborious process of submitting a claim I came across, and while the same type of documents and receipts always sufficed former insurance companies that I used, they stated that I lack information in my claim. They kept me hanging with e-mails, and when finally I extracted some questionable description of how the documents I lack should look like (through a texting chat with a worker, otherwise this information is nowhere to be found), I found myself in the very uncomfortable position of requesting the involved clinics for imaginary documents that nobody ever provides.I got so frustrated during this process, that I turned and researched thoroughly about worldTrips. Apparently they are a known scam. People report of never seeing money reimbursed, and their high ratings, which are the first results a google search will show you, are published by websites and bloggers that are being paid for it, and probably were never insured by this bogus company.A horrible waste of my time, a large amount of my money, and a large portion of my willingness to trust.

Absolute nightmare. I spent months sending emails back and forth with a representative who assured me that though they would not guarantee any kind of payment upfront but that the process of submitting a claim following my surgery would be easy. Not only was the claims process ridiculously tedious, but he knew upfront the details of my surgery and not once indicated that this would ultimately result in a claims denial. I suspected this would be the case based on other reviews of this company being a total sham but remained hopeful. Total waste of time and money and will find a different actual insurance company moving forward.

SCAM! We bought insurance for 12 months from them and unfortunately we had to use medical care that we paid for being assured they will review the claims and everything will be figured out. Complete liars, you either wait to get an email for 2-3 month or they tell you they need the information again, or that you didn't submit it correctly so now you wait another 2-3 months. I guess they avoid any and all responsibility. Please spread the word! I am going to take them to BBB and their state Consumer Protection department. Who knows, maybe someone will do something about those greedy people getting rich on peoples misfortune.
