Checked in online which said I had 0 wait time. Went in the salon and checked in and was told it would be a few minutes because the stylist was on break. I was ok with that until another customer came in 5 minutes after me and was immediately taken in. I overheard the customer tell the check in attendant that he didn’t check in online or have an appointment. A stylist came from the back room and immediately took the customer ahead of me. The customer apparently sees that stylist regularly. Obviously, following the online check in process is optional at this salon. Been coming here for a few years but won’t be back.

the hair butcher said she was cutting 2 inches off my length and she cut at least 4. think about that. that's like 8 months of hair growth ruined. she never stopped to show me the length she was cutting, just started chopping. and at the end she tried to say what she had cut had just been my layers but that's not true.
so I'd only go here if you don't really care about what your hair looks like 🤷 lesson learned.
the only reason it's not 1 star is because my layers miraculously are what I wanted though she never held the hair down to show me how short they would sit. only showed me how much she was cutting (for my layers) while she was holding the strand straight in the air. assuming I could visualize what that would look like when the hair falls naturally.

First time going to Great Clips, not impressed. My online check-in said it would be 29 minutes but ended up more like 50. While waiting, they seemed really good with kids. The one who cut my hair did not do as I asked at all and I ended up with a lousy cut. I asked it to be left long (as it was) on the back, she cut it short. I let her know to be mindful of my calyx on my head but she botched them and I’m left with scalp showing in several places until it grows out. I think she didn’t know how to handle them as most beauticians do. Needless to say, I’ll not be going back.

Came in with very long hair, 3 inches above my waist, and asked for a trim of 1/2 inch. Stylist cut 9inches off. I left with one heavy layer cut to my collar bone and the other cut about 5 inches below that. So many tears have been shed over this experience. Hair for women is deeply personal. This was a very upsetting experience.
