If I could give zero stars, I would not only are the employees rude besides one the only employee there that is nice is a darker lady with short dark curly hair. I wish I knew her name, but they should not be selling 20 pound bags of ice that are literally wane, 4 pounds for five dollars I DoorDash this because my vehicles are out and the DoorDash lady said that that was all they had were bags that are quarter of a way full now like I said if my electric wasn’t out and I didn’t need this ice I would not be writing this review, but it is very frustrating because Four days ago I bought a Visa card loaded $100 on it and it was that night time they were about ready to close and put my nails in and my card that I had loaded $100 on and a separate bag. well I Home realize that my prepaid debit card I had purchased and put $100 on. I don’t have it was left there at Store diamond was the woman who checked me out tried calling the store. You can never get a hold of anybody. It always gives a busy signal no matter how many times you call. I ended up walking there and asked them to review the cameras because the lady had not given me my prepaid card that I loaded $100 onto him. She said give her a second she’ll check the cameras. She literally walked back and was back within 30 seconds and said ma’am, You grab both bags I grabbed one that both of them were in there. I should’ve checked when I got to the car. That’s my fault The cashier diamond made out with $100 card I had purchased by her not giving me the bag. Management Snobby and I understand it’s hard to keep workers these days let alone have a worker Who is stealing from customers so if you ever go in there and purchase a prepaid debit card and load money onto it, you make sure you get that bag with that card in it, especially if the cashiers name is diamond smh

The good thing was the store was being stocked by two ladies that were very polite and helpful. Problem was there was nobody at the register. The person who was working the register showed up after 10 minutes of waiting ,full of attitude. I think she could us some training in customer service

Always a disaster. Looks like they just stand at the end of the aisle and throw items at the place they are supposed to be. Never once been in here that it's looked like anything more. Poor management.

Well they said that they couldn't sell me these flame style light bulbs. Was shown where at the bottom contact point there was rust inside on the bulb ?. Looking out for their customers. Good job Dollar General store on Alison Lane.

If there's ever gonna be a true legit negative review, I'm gonna truely give it to a place that deserves it.I'm not gonna blame the employees. I'm not gonna blame management. My true issue will be solely on a corporate level problem.When it comes to a store that has to place a sign on the door that says all large bags and backpacks need to be left up front at the cash register before you shop, then clearly there is a issue. When there's signs on the door for months that says the open late and close early do to staff issues, clearly there's a problem. When you have to stand at the counter in hopes someone shows up to check you out, because you want to be that responsible adult and wait 10-15 minutes... Clearly something needs to be changed.To often, me and several other customers in the area of the Allison Lane dollar general,have continuously watched this dollar general struggle to stay afloat and struggle to survive, only for it to continue do become 10 feet under and a new employee every week.I truely believe because it's within a walking distance of schools and family neighborhoods... That it's the only reason it's surviving.If dollar general out more energy and effort into the store and staffed it properly, it would see a massive turn around time and store. If you don't love your employees and take care of them, your store wont thrive.I gave a one star for corporate reasons, one star for management and organization. I will only give 5 stars to those employees who really go above and beyond to try to keep this place going in the middle of a hurricane mess.Someone save this store please.

One of the best dollar stores to visit in our area. They have three ladies working during the morning/afternoon one of which I believe to be their GM with short blonde hair another lady with long black hair and an older woman with short curly hair, all three always have such good energy and are willing to help in anyway possible. Most of the time they are stocking and running back to the register in between customers and always manage to make it a pleasant experience. Ty DG by zaxbys! Y’all rock!

I have visited this store twice in the last 4 months and both visits were a nightmare. Never again. Empty shelves, stuff thrown on the floor of every isle as well as boxes and the place looked so dirty. Just complete chaos, and one of the two female employees looked and acted like she hated her job. I will continue to visit the one on Charlestown, New Albany Rd. where cleanliness and good and friendly customer service make one feel welcome.
