The associates at Dr. Blacks office are extremely nice and caring. No rushing you through. They make you feel like you are the only patient in the building.

They rushed my exam, and my expensive glasses were never right. Would not recommend. This time I Went to a locally owned place and now I have good quality Glasses & Contacts.

I had cataract surgery and my vision is worse than it was when I had glasses. They got paid 6 thousand from me and whatever insurance paid. I’ve had 2 surgeries and My surgeon is sending me to another doctor “to fine tune them” Had an appointment for Sept 5 but fell and broke my hand the night before (probably because of my vision) and had to cancel. The next available appointment was 10/31. I guess I am being punished for canceling. I love my doctor who is in the group but in a different city, otherwise I would quit this group. I want my glasses back.

I'm extremely pleased with my recent back to back cataract surgery. Dr. Pugh and the staff provided a magnificent experience. Friendly, knowledgeable, kind, experienced people. They took care of me like I was a member of their family. They explained every step of the procedure. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for a marvelous experience. I highly recommend them for all your eye care needs.

I recently had cataract and lens implant surgeries with these magnificient people. All the staff from eye examine with Dr. Stroud , surgeon Dr. Apenbrinck, surgical staff, driver transportation Terry, I want to thank you for the professional care and highly recommend their professional services . They are truly the best ever.

These office staff was demeaning of my grandma and did not listen to her request. They laughed when she advocated for herself. I would give this company 0 if I could.

I called the office in Lyndon and asked if they could check my insurance coverage. I was told, no, they could only check my insurance coverage the moment I come to the office for my appointment. I was not a new patient. I said I don't believe you, every eye doctor in Louisville can check insurance coverage. So they transfered me to someone else - who checked my coverage! Miracle!He booked me for an appointment at Jeffersonville. He assured me that my insurance would be accepted at Jeffersonville, just as in Lyndon, absolutely no difference. I called the Jeffersonville office to make sure - they assured me my insurance would be accepted, no difference. I said my insurance is from KY, another state - "no problem, anything they do in Lydon, we can do here, it's all covered".So after I had my exam, the optical dept told me that they do not take my insurance because it was from KY!The office staff refused to call in my prescription to Costco.I asked for paper prescription, and they gave me the wrong prescription for glasses, they gave me standard single lens prescription and not the bi-focal. I called them to get them to mail me a copy of my bi-focal prescription....not even a 'sorry about that'.When I was there, I asked for the business cards of the three retinal specialists I have the referrals for...so she gave me one card, and wrote the names of the other two doctors on that card. I guess they are so hard up for cash, they can't hand out business cards. So I have the other two names, but not their emails...what is that about.

Dr Howell is amazing always has been I've been going there for 6 years with my daughter and never had any issues with him or the optical department until this year the new optical person didn't send her order in and I didn't find out until I called to check on if they arrived yet and yet still waiting even though it was a rushed order

I had cataract surgery and lens implants done and everyone here, especially, Dr Pugh,were so nice and respectful and I wouldn't hesitate having anything else for my eyes done in the future!?
