The caring and friendly staff are very knowledgeable about the animals in their care. The organization is dedicated to looking out for the safety and well-being of pets, which includes a thorough vetting process for adoptions to ensure good homes. People have had great experiences adopting from here. Adoption includes a small package with food, medical history, and other necessities, as well as help with microchipping. While the adoption fee is a bit higher than at state-run shelters, it is understood that as a privately run organization, they rely on donations to care for the animals. The Humane Association also makes a difference in the community by responding to calls about animals in need, providing education and even direct help to improve an animal's living conditions.
