I had a large check that needed to be cashed, it was on standard holding till two weeks later. I waited till the date of the release of hold and they told me that it would be available at midnight. Called during business hours, then was told that it wasn't going to be available the following day of the RELEASE DATE. very unhappy and rethinking of going to a different bank.

I have been a member for 42 years and have always loved this credit union. However, I have noticed some very poor business practices over the last year. First, they implemented a new system that wasn't compatible with QuickBooks, creating havoc for so many small businesses. Profed, weren't you a small businesss once? And currently, I am trying to use their new debit card - which doesn't work at Kroger or Marathon gas stations. I've called Profed twice and have been told "the program is not compatible" and to "use my credit card." Or I can walk into the station, pay cash to use a pump. Um, no. That's not how this works for the rest of the world using debit cards. DO BETTER PROFED. Shame on you. I'm even more bummed to have to change banks after 42 years; what a pain in the neck. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PROFED at all, anymore. And I'm sure my business means little to nothing to their scope of practice.

I usually have good experiences here at Pro Fed, except today when I called at 8:45 AM, I was in the parking lot watching all the employees go inside the bank, and online said that Pro-Fed opened at 8:30 AM on Fridays. I called the Kendallville branch and the lady on the other end proceeded to tell me the bank didn’t open until 9 AM. Here’s a suggestion Pro-Fed, FIX YOUR ONLINE HOURS, IT WILL HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE. 2/5 stars for this experience.

I love this bank/credit union. The people there are amazing. Would strongly recommend to everyone.
