Had a really bad experience here today. I came in the store to buy stuff for Valentine’s Day. I had an event going on, so I was buying all of the one dollar roses available, and the cashier did a double take of me when I walked in the store, and then proceeded to come up to me while I was grabbing the roses, and made a joke that I was trying to buy all the Valentine’s Day stuff. I laughed with him and said I had an event to do and that I was going to try and get all of the one dollar roses. She pointed up at the register, and he said that he had a bunch of roses available for me up at the register, and that they were real. I made a joke back with him, because he seemed like he was in a good mood, and said that he would have to buy them for me because they were expensive compared to the one dollar roses. He got really rude and said “Ew. I don’t even know you, besides, you have a ring, you need to tell your husband to buy you roses.” I understand where he thought I was trying to flirt with him, however, I was making a joke that unless he bought the roses he was trying to sell me, I wouldn’t be getting them because he is trying to upsell me $5 roses compared to the fake $1 I was buying. I meant no harm or I’ll comments towards him, but he immediately did a 180 in his attitude and embarrassed me in front of the people that were around. I just don’t understand why he singled me out in front of everyone and came up to talk to me until he saw a ring on my finger, and then was rude towards me over a misunderstood joke. I was so embarrassed in front of everyone. I am married to a woman, firstly, and he is definitely not a man I would try and go after if that wasn’t the case. The experiences there are usually less than, but it’s DG, so you kind of expect it as is and go about your day. But the demeaning attitude and borderline harassment was uncalled for. This was a manager by the way.

I have been going to this store for about 4 years, it is not odd to see me in there graving monsters. I say this bec before this new manger took over the number of time or how early I was there was never a problem or talked about. But now everytime I go in and his there he has something to say me. I got stopped before even going in this morning with him making comments on how it's 9am. Well yea it is that's why I need a monster and last time I looked yall open at 8am so I don't see why he cares about how many time I go in or what I am wearing. It's getting creepy, one day I went in the morning got my monster and a pen then left, ( I didn't see him there a women check me out.) Later I went in to get a monster and he was up front, when he saw me he said two time in one day really. The comments are just not needed just let me get my stuff and leave. I don't steal I don't make a mess I don't Bug any of the employees.

Constantly closed at random times so the singular employee can take cigarette breaks. Half of them also take their cigarette breaks right next to the entrance, so you’re forced to walk through it to enter the building. Stock carts are constantly filling the entire isles, so you can’t even move them out of the way to get what you need (not that you should have to anyway).

Went in to dollar general on sycamore 2130 store #3333 . It has come a long way and has amazing employees , especially MARGY! She was patient , very helpful , very kind and communicated with us was very friendly and worked her butt off . Need more employees like Margy

I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD!!!!!! Visited today, 1 employee working. Quick trip in and to self checkout. Neither self checkout is taking cash despite one stating on a sign it does. The self checkout would not accept any electronic payment. I tried several cards, tap to pay via various phone payment methods, and even manual card entry. Each time the machine said "processing" then returned to "please swipe or insert card". Finally the one employee, a short Grey haired lady with glasses comes up. She refuses to cancel my order. Refused to ring me up at the register, even though i had cash to pay stating she was there to stock only and didn't have time. I will not return to this dollar general! Since it has been remodeled it is always a mess, can't get through isles, understaffed, and not clean. I understand remodeling and short staffing but this should never affect the way a customer is treated!!!!

One older female employee with black hair keeps smoking cigarettes directly next to the entrance. No way to avoid the smoke cloud. Frustrating for asthmatics or people with children. Also just rude in general. They also keep randomly closing at like 5 pm with no signs in the door or anything even saying that they’re closed. They just lock up and go I guess lol
