I used to say I’d pay double what they charge to be there. Now I can’t say the same at all. My minor child had a photo taken of her by staff. As well as staff memebers spreading lies about her and another CHILD. I tried to address it with Nick Glover. He made it very clear he did not care and hung on me. The YMCA website has an entire segment of their site dedicated to the protection of children. What I was looking for was management having a refresher conversation with their employees about this. Because I feel like if warned again it may stop. He made it very clear child safety doesn’t matter. I did let Nick know that I do not know who took the picture at this facility but in the event I find out I’ll be back with a lawyer. Because his attitude is absolutely unacceptable. It lets me know anything could happen to my child in this facility and he would probably hang up on me.Edit after reading several other reviews with the same problem Nick acted like I was crazy about. I will be cancelling my membership and voicing this concern to every person who asks me about. This is not a one off. This is the culture at Kokomo “Family” YMCA. Sounds like Nick here might be the problem. If their management doesn’t care most likely they won’t either. Not a single person lifting a finger to change it either. Sad. I hope you all have daughters.

This place is terrible. If they have problems with your credit card, they don’t let you know and they just keep wanting to slap $25.00 late fees on you. They should let you know and give you an opportunity to pay another way instead of slapping late fees on you.

THE SAUNA IS AWLAYS CLOSED! I am paying $25 a month, you need to have the sauna fixed immediately after it goes down. The sauna being down for more than a week is ridiculous. If this continues to happen, I will take my money somewhere else.

I would never take my daughter here with how they treat women.

I live in the apartments next door which has limited parking for bigger trucks such as my work truck so I have to park on the street. Right by my door there is a space that has 2 signs that outlines where children drop off is. This looks to be a one lane spot, maybe identify it better it's more than one spot. But when I parked outside the zone infront of it a rude woman came up to my truck and said "you need to move now" to which I ask "from this open spot?" Oh course she replies even ruder with "yeah your blocking where the kids get dropped off." So simple resolve to this how about this YMCA tells people to stop parking infront and around the apartment and I won't have to take an open spot next to your building? I'll still give this place 4 stars though cause it's a decent gym. Just need to work on your staff.

I love the Y. The child watch is very helpful for times a babysitter is needed while working out. I love the number of machines there are to lift weights. The workers are thoughtful and very helpful. They keep the Y clean. Now, if some patrons would do the same, it would be even better. They offer lots of classes as well and have a play pool for the kids.

I come to the gym to release stress from my day/life. I mind my business and have been a loyal member for several years now. It’s unfortunate that I can’t wear a sports bra that covers me just fine without being sexualized by staff and told to put on a shirt. Men walk around with low cut tank tops that show a decent amount of their chest and back and that’s totally acceptable, but not when it’s a woman. I find this to be extremely derogatory and rude especially when it isn’t causing any harm to others, meanwhile there are younger children hurting themselves and goofing off in the weight section and nothing is done about it. Figure out your priorities. I have no problem finding another place to workout, you’re the one losing a member.

There needs to be a sign stating, [ Equipment is for active use, only. Sitting on equipment for extended periods of times and using equipment only to talk, text or browse is not permitted.]There are several occassions when a person wants to use a piece of equipment only to encounter ppl who are sitting on equipment in conversations on their phones and they will not move to the table/ chair seating area.Staff is too nice and probably would not say anything.Confronting an unk person not safe unless you know the person. The facility Suites are spacious. The training equipment rooms are so packed with equipment you will literally be a legs width from another person. The place has a lot to do and we usually have a good time.

It's a nice gym the pool is great. Don't pay for trainer Chris or whoever the head trainer is my husband has paid 200 to train with him and he's canceled and tried to reschedule at a inconvenient time 3 times now and don't give refunds. So don't bother it will just be a waste of money.

Super friendly, clean, a great place to get a good work out or a run in. Also has a racquetball court, which we've used quite a bit
