I honestly feel like I can't go to either Horizon Banks (Lincolnway or Indiana) without getting an attitude from these ladies. I decided to go to the Lincolnway location today to deposit a check. I mistook how much the check was for (a 6 looked like a 0) and she treated me like I was stupid. I'm just going to start making the drive to the Michigan City location from now on. Both of these locations have tellers that either think they're entitled or that just don't want to be there. I almost have a feeling of dread coming to either location because I feel anxious about being belittled or getting an attitude and quite frankly, that's not a feeling I want to have when I visit an establishment.

I was stereotyped and treated very rude it wasn't the first time. If I do a job for somebody and they pay me with a horizon check I will not accept it because I will never be setting foot inside that bank again

VERY BAD SERVICEThey are supposed to be there to help the customer and, for my experience, it was the opposite. If you are going to apply for a loan, don't let Sean Steder be your agent, he has no interest in helping the client. I went there requesting a loan that lasted more than 3 weeks to give me an answer, every time I tried to contact him, he was always “busy” and directly sent me to the voicemail, left messages and he never returned my calls. When I finally spoke with him, turned out that he submitted the application wrong and they denied the loan. He made me the application again, and again he sent it wrong. I wasted 1 month with him for nothing. So, I went to 1st Source Bank for a 2nd opinion and they approved the loan in less than 5 minutes with the same information I gave to Sean Steder. In conclusion, don't waste your time applying for a loan with Sean Steder at Horizon.

undisclosed fees and poor service. I've tried calling during business hours and they simply ignore half of them. they drained my account into the negative then closed it. apparently they do charge fees and the paperwork they gave me saying they didn't was false advertising. i didn't trust banks to start but this solidifies it. stealing from students is unacceptable and unethical.

IMMORAL MONEY GRUBBERS: Horizon Bank employees in La Porte care nothing about the working class poor. Their profit model is based off of the collection of exorbitant overdraft fees which in many cases are SO perverse the act itself should be not only criminal but MORALLY WRONG. Undaunted by any sense of shame, bank employees like JENNY BARKER siphon off the money from us for minor overdrafts of a mere $3.00 or less while commenting, "It's wasn't our mistake, it was yours!" Of course, if you want to do a stop payment, well, that will cost you almost $40 dollars, and if you want to lock your card that can't be done, and if you just want to lock the account to prevent any more frivilous charges from being accepted by the bank - that's impossible too. Why? Because of their shameless profit model. It relies on the immoral practice of stiffing the average and below average workers in La Porte so that the upper-class and wealthy can continue to bank for free. I think its a far worse thief and menace to society who pretends to be a friend of the community to rob you blind, than the thief that sneaks in the back door while you're sleeping. At least with the sneak thief you know where you stand. That's not the case with Horizon bank.

In customer service, Peggy is the best! The last few years that we've been with Horizon, we have been helped by Peggy and she is just amazing at her job. She doesn't make you feel bad, shes patient, and not snippy and snotty like most people at a bank. She is the reason for the 5 stars. Anything you need done, she can do! Thanks Peggy for the great customer service!

I don't know if there is something wrong with intercoms, but the last two weeks that I went through drive thru, no one gave a greeting or asked anything. Total silence. Not very friendly as usual
