Got my card stolen, went to call the supposed after hours line, just to get no answer. Sounds like security is one of their least important priorities.

This place hates to have people with cameras around and hates the first amendment they will call the police on you for no reason and lie saying you trespassed will never bank with this company or any other nor will my family just sad

My parents banked with LaPorte Savings Bank, Horizon's predessor at this location, for over 30 years. When Horizon bought their bank, it was not a welcome change.Fast forward another twenty plus years. My father, now in his 90's, loved the Horizon bank on Lincolnway in LaPorte . They knew Joe when he walked in the door and he never had a problem getting a check cashed.Dad recently passed away and our 97 year old mother has been trying to tie up all the details associated with losing a spouse. One of the account conversions required a Medallion Guarantee Stamp. This requires a financial institution to do sufficient due dilligence to guarantee the validity of a transaction. We made an appointment to complete the paperwork thinking that we had accumulated the correct documentation.We had not. Fortunately we mistakenly went to the downtown Horizon on Indiana Avenue and Ms. Bigg, the assistant branch manager, offered to assist us although we had no appointment with her. She gave us over an hour of her time and a generous amount of good advice and pulled us through to the finish line. It took three visits in one day. Ms. Bigg even gave up part of her lunch hour to facilitate the second discussion. She was amazingly patient, good-natured, and exceptionally respectful. By the end of the Friday, she felt like family.This bank has supported us in small and also very significant ways for many years. They are a great example of why regional banks make so much sense in an otherwise automated, impersonal financial world.
