Kroger is a longtime hometown favorite grocery store, known for its friendly and professional personnel. Customers find it to have very good prices on a lot of items, saving money, especially when using the app. Many consider it the best grocery store in the area, praising its variety of products. The produce section receives specific praise for its great selection of fruits and vegetables, with organic products sometimes costing less than non-organic. The store is consistently described as clean and well-stocked with what people need. However, several reviews note issues with the checkout process. The self-checkout terminals are frequently cited as extremely weight sensitive, requiring multiple attendant interventions and causing delays, as there is often only one attendant available. Long lines are a common complaint, with only one regular lane sometimes being open. An additional minor inconvenience mentioned is that shopping carts are often not available inside the building, requiring a trip outside to the cart stalls.
I’m an Instacart shopper and I shop here almost every day and I love it and the people are great!
