I am sharing my personal experience with this bank which was horrible. Given my resident status and my type of visa, I contacted them to inquire about a mortgage. I was extra careful in informing them about my specific situation, given that another bank had already denied an application. The bank person told me that they deal with my type of situations on a regular basis and that there wouldn’t be any problems since me and my wife both have stable jobs and income. So my application was pre approved and I started looking for a house to buy. Upon finding a prospective seller and making an offer (all the steps were checked upon with the bank to be extra sure) I started the actual application process, which took an extra month of what was originally agreed. I had to pay a penalty to the seller for such a delay. They made me pay for inspections, translations of legal documents, administrative fees and even made me open a checking account. A myriad of document-requesting emails went back and forth between me and the Mortgage Dpt., until a week before closing I got an email stating that given my status they were not able to offer me a mortgage and that they “apologize for the trouble”. Me and my family were devastated, not only for the money spent, but also for all the hopes and dreams we placed in this project. I don’t complain for not getting approved, which would have been perfectly reasonable if this was informed early in the process. I was even expecting such outcome. I’m angry because of the time they took to “figure out” that I’m no mortgage material. It was only thanks to my fantastic agent and his willingness to fight for this sale, that I ended up finding a serious lender that didn’t fooled me around, and went ahead and took a chance with me.

Had a check that got put on hold - went in and the team found the check, contacted who they needed to contact, and got the hold removed that day. Took less than 20 minutes, and saved me a lot of headaches! Very happy with their service.

Worst bank ever, had fraudulent charges on my card, even after They canceled my card. Horrible customer service, both by tellers, and their customer service number. Continued to charge me fees after a canceled card was continually being charged, and try to say it was my responsibility to take care of it after They was responsible for canceling the card. Worst bank I have ever had.
