We came here looking for a specific tree. We were greeted by a very rude gentleman. He said the trees were expensive and I definitely agreed.I told him we paid half that much at Lowe's.And then he very rudely said well then go to lowes. I told him that Lowe's was out of them and he said well, see now we have them. So I said well I guess I won't do a business with you since you're being rude and he said I was rude by making the comment about the cost. There was no sense in the attitude that he gave me when we were going to give them our money to purchase something we wanted. I will never do business there and I will tell everybody how bad their business ethic is. That is no way to run a business.

If I could give Koehler brothers negative stars I would, as they constantly reschedule or no show to meetings as shown in my attached conversations with their designer Lorne. He was on the phone with his uncle for 5 hrs when he missed the last meeting, when in truth the next day he says he’s never started the design…again. Apparently they feel Lafayette is so hard up for help they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, again see my exchange and their comments. Our previous landscape bid was over 150k, but kohler brothers business plan is to weed us out from bigger clients. Good luck to anyone who wants to deal with this company. There is a reason they keep shrinking now to apparently one person running the show. As you can see; Lorne claims kohler brothers is nothing without him, and from my experience kohler brothers doesn’t even want to be in business, they would rather we all go away so they can focus on “real” jobs. Too bad too because this company used to be something before an apparent changing of the guard.

The Kohlers are very good and fair people. Not only do they provide landscaping services, they also have antiques of every kind. The even have a a whole building that I think was a pharmacy and soda shop, but don't quote me on that.

Been look forward to finally stop and checkout this place. So today I stopped here to have a look around. They didn't have alot to choose from mosty an abundance of the same selection of trees, perennials and small shrubs. Prices weren't that high for the plants they're selling. I did enjoy the antiques in the shop. The staff were not friendly at all and had stand-offish vibes. Need less to say I wasn't impressed.

Limited, but very nice, higher quality, larger plants. Staff never even acknowledged our presence.

Great staff with experience and the knowledge what trees, shrubs, plants will not only look but also grow together. The prices are also well worth a 5 minute drive from Lafayette. Large selection and open on Sundays till 4:00 helps also. Thanks

By far this was the worst experience I had with a local business. I first scheduled an appointment for Koehler Bros. to come out to my house and design a land scape plan. They had to reschedule several times before coming out. The gentleman came to the house took measurements and pictures. He then proceeded to tell me he would need one week to have plans done. He would have drawings and a visual computer model to show me the design. After 5 days I called to see what time I should be in to check out the design for approval and schedule the work. He then texted me it would be at least another week but he promised it would be done. He said he could email the drawings and a quote. We then scheduled a time for several days later for me to come in and discuss. I waited several days for the email that never came. My appointment was to come in on a Thursday afternoon to finalize the deal. As of Wednesday I had not received any of the promised information. So I had asked again. I got no response until 11:05 PM on Wednesday night (yes about 14 hours before I am suppose to meet the guy) I received a text message. Below is the text message word for word.Haven't even started on the plans yet no way I'm going to get them done today... Swamped here.. The owners have me dealing with every single client, going on every job. , I can't deal with this any more..., if you want me to do them I would be more than happy to.. honestly will take another week at least... If you are not happy please find somebody else..Needless to say I will find somebody else to do the job.

Koehler Brothers has great plants and trees and it's always a beautiful place to visit. They also have a bunch of antiques and collectibles. Definitely worth a visit!
