First of all I spent and hour and a half in the chair!! 3 people came in got they nails done and I was still sitting there! I hated my nails so bad I had to go back for them to fix em and they still turned out a mess! My youngest daughter got her nails painted and the nail polish was peeling off the minute we got home! The guy packed so much acrylic on my nails they looked lumpy! I would NOT NOT NOT Recommend I’m sticking with the nail salon in Tippecanoe mall! If you go here be prepared to have fugly nails

PEDICURE PARTY RUINED BY DISCRIMINATING AGAINST A GAY MAN AND HIS FRIENDS !!! We made an appointment with Lily for the Pedi Party on a Monday evening at 5, we even called earlier in the day to check on the reservation. We were greeted and seated and helped getting settled comfortable and all were soaking our feet in hot tubs of water really fast. I noticed about 10-12 minutes into our pedicures that one of my male friends doesn't have a tech starting his pedicure like the rest of us. I ask Lily about it when she passed by and she says something about woman only do woman and she doesn't have enough men to do his feet right now. She did not know it would be men and woman. I don't know if that's personal, religious or cultural boundary but I respected it. We cracked some jokes about how much of a girl my friend really is in his totally feminine energy he's a queen in the best possible sense of the word. Which is when it was made obvious in our banter that he was a wonderful proud gay black man. After about an hour we were ALL finished and ready to go eat but nobody had started on our one friend yet at all!! Lily said they didn't have time to do his feet. The shop is open until 8:30pm so that reasoning made no sense. Their were other men in our party that got their feet done. He is African American but there were other African Americans with us that got great service. They refused to give reasoning and further more kicked him out of the salon when he tried to inquire if it was medical reason that he should be aware of or go see about. They were very dismissive to him or any conversation about this treatment. They begin rushing the rest of us to hurry and pay while asking our friend to exit the shop. We all were so confused as to what happened. We discussed it over red lobster after we left. Completely baffled by what happened. The woman WERE only working on woman customers we saw that .....the couple of men did the other men of the group. Our friend is a middle age , middle class gay black man. We are ALL 39 and over, black white Latino men and woman. Pretty diverse . He is the only openly boldly gay friend that came with us that night. Within that 45 min of him soaking and waiting they heard close friends spilling the tea and made him sit there for over 45 min just to be denied embarrassed and forced out of the establishment. Honestly the salon has went to shut since Jimmy and his family quit.

The lady who greeted me was very nice. When it comes down to the service; starting out; I told my nail tech that I am very picky and if it’s not perfect I will have him fix them. He seemed to have an understanding of what my needs were. Fast forward, he gets the nails on and they are shaped at this point, and I notice that my pointer finger is curved and I told him to make it straight, he said that he can’t do anything because my nail is making the acrylic nail curve, and I responded, “well last I checked, my mail didn’t curve before I came in here, so fix it because I’m paying you my money.” I was very calm and collected, and he kept shooting short jabs at me to see if I would react to him, and I told him to stop getting upset at me for having standards for how I want my nails done, he continued telling me that I complained too much and that if I come back he would refuse to do my nails and that he’s never had someone who complains as much as I do, and I told him “well I’m not everybody else, if they don’t care how their nails look that’s on them, but again, I’m paying you my money, so do my nails how I ask you to do them. I would never go back to this nail salon again.

Quan was great. Very friendly and did a beautiful job. New to the area and I definitely recommend going to Lily Nails. I got the pink and white ombre and they turned out perfect. Also reasonable priced.
