i had went to rural king and asked about purchasing a rifle , when i showed my state ID (not a drivers license) a very respective gentlemen responded to me saying “according to our policy we can not sell you a rifle for not having a actual drivers license “ i showed the gentlemen that i have my carry license , that if it could make any difference on purchasing a rifle he responded with “no it doesnt change anything “ so sadly i had no luck. is this for all local businuess that has this policy or just rural king? four guns allows state ID with your carry license matching address

I keep trying to give this store a chance, and it fails me every time. From rude managers to employees to wrong prices on items. I think I'll go somewhere else

Bad experience in Lafayette indiana 47905 store. I went to purchase items and I personally took them off the shelf where the price said one thing and when I took items to register It displayed a different price. The manager Kim was notified...which she is very rude...no customer service skills. She has a bad attitude problem especially with her employee the guy that was at the register.She caused alot of unnecessary work. I was overly unsatisfied and just wanted to leave the store. I will definitely not be going back to Lafayette indiana Rural king again. Horrible customer service. Thx Kim(Manager). If I was 10 shades lighter in color I probably wouldn't of dealt with the poor/rude customer service I just experienced.

If you need large quantities of Nutrena horse feed (2+ ton/mo), don't waste your time with Rural King. They don't know when they will get supply and can't guarantee it. Their manager told me: "I don't know how you got my number... Even if you place an order online, there is no guarantee that you will get it". How in the h*ll do you do business with these people? Go to Heartland Feeds in Brookston, IN. Art and his staff will help you out and have excellent prices and customer service!

This rural king is horrible at putting price tags on things. When there is a price tag when you checkout it’s never the same. Double check your receipts when you purchase from there. up charged $20!!!! It’s every single time too. Absolutely done here, tractor supply here I come.

Good place for deals depending on what you are looking for. Biggest knock always short on help at checkout. Always wonder what a manager is doing so important that they can't open up another line to help out?

Rural King happens to Carey the Senior feed my old mare needs. Plus the beat pop and the alfalfa pellets. I also get most of my sawdust there. It's always fun to stop in and grab popcorn for the kiddos as well. It's a great added touch, and I can tell you I deeply appreciate it because it keeps the little ones happy while I try to locate some obscure item.

I will never return to this store or any other Rural King. My first visit was tonight and my husband took me to the back where baby chicks were located. They were crammed into silver tubs with dirty water. The worst was the baby chick barely breathing and being stepped on by the other chicks. Shame on you and your staff for not caring for these lives in a humane manner.
