DO NOT HAVE MELISSA FILE YOUR TAXES!!!!!!!! She filed my 2020 taxes and charged me $300. I waited over 8 months for my state and federal tax returns, only to discover she NEVER FILED THEM!!!! I had to refile them, pay late fees, and the worst part was she NEVER responded to any texts or phone calls to even let me know!!!! Do NOT trust this woman!! She's NOT a BBB credited business!! She will take your money, give you professional forms that appear as though they were filed, and then you cannot get ahold of her!!

Melissa did me and my husband's 2019 taxes, kind of. We thought we were getting a ton back as a refund because she was "getting us as many exemptions as possible". She was claiming exceptions that didn't apply to us (we found out later), and she claimed one of our kids even though we don't provide more than half of the financial care for them. She claimed a child tax credit for him too. What the heck? It also took her months to submit it, even though she gave us a reference number. Anytime we tried to look up our refund on the iRS website, it was never found. When I called, I was informed that they had not received anything listed for either of our SSNs. She also had one of the SSNs wrong as well as a birthdate and an amount on a W-2 form. I can't believe the ineptitude! We had to go to another company to file it correctly. When we set up the appointment, she told us they hadn't been filed yet. This was at the beginning of January 2020. When we went to our appointment at the end of January 2020, in the middle of submitting our electronic refund, the IRS said it had been filed. So we had to mail a correct return in. We are still waiting for our 2019 refund because of the pandemic and Melissa's errors. We JUST received a letter from the IRS this week saying we had to resubmit it because the office had opened again and our return was not available anymore. This is ridiculous. Melissa is also using the logo I created without paying me for it, stealing my artwork. So she took my money for our taxes AND my artwork without paying for it. So I am out over $400. Thanks Melissa.

used this preparer, Melissa for several years. She's the absolute best at her job. It makes a difference when someone loves what they do and charges the working man a working man's price. She should charge way more because she's worth every cent of it. If wasn't for her I wouldn't have unemployment or health insurance. thank you "TAX VIKING" THANK YOU THANK YOU

I paid her to do my state and federal taxes. She did not file them, but took the money. If she had filed they would not of gone thru when I went to a professional preparer and the filing went thru. Had Carlson filed they will not go thru if a 2nd attempt is made. Many others had the same issue. Carlson can not be trusted. On a positive note she made a $3000 mistake that saved me that amount of money. I contacted her numerous times with no response.

Melisa "The TAX VIKING" IS THE BEST THERE IS. I watched this wonder woman for many years work harder for such a small amount of fees to see that I got the best outcome for my tax situation. I know how difficult her first year in her new office location has been with the virus and the lack of working IRS agents. She can't receive enough credit for her dedication. If you are looking for a honest,dedicated, super smart, kind and willing to work harder than what you're asked to write a check for her services. Not to mention her awesome looking office. It looks and feels like her. You feel less stressed just walking in and sitting down.

This woman cares and works harder than what she actually charges. I will never go anywhere else. I felt like she listened and went above and beyond the call of duty. This was my first year using her service and I wish I had found her sooner.
