The customer service at this job is terrible! When I came in to the store all the sales associates were sitting on their phones and not greeting anyone who came into the store or even paying attention to the store. I had a few questions about the deals going on but they were too busy on their phones. I bought myself a few things which took a little while because they didn’t even notice me standing in line lol

Allow me to start out with saying the only thing more disappointing and harder to swallow than the tea and treats here was the cup full of bitter bile and regret that I inevitably had to choke down called: the bill. The frigid staff, the lacklustre, and poorly thrown together Ikea decor I can overlook, but the most egregious sin that I can not forgive is the lack of quality in regards to the cuisine. The tea, the bloody tea...the whole reason one goes to a tea room was abominable. Weak as water, and ten times as costly. I'm not sure what is going on here, or what they think passes as a "quality" tea, but what is served here is far from anything I would dare to call "English" tea. I allowed my tea to steep an uncomfortable amount of times in hopes that it would darken and become stronger, but to no avail. It was as if the tea had been steeped before rendering it a hollow husk absent of any of its former glory, such as it was. I personally feel Lipton may be able to produce a finer Earl Grey. Also, dear god what kind of establishment is this when they offer milk with Earl Grey, every fine tea connoisseur knows that lemon is the only acceptable addition to Earl Grey. Last thought on the tea, and in general. What a careless, and an amateur mistake to brew tea with and serve your guests what I believe was plain chlorinated tap water. Tier One, savoury. Goodness, I'd like to just leave it with the word "disappointment", but I'm going to have to elaborate as that just doesn't cover it. The sandwiches were certainly nothing to write home to mother about. Dull, soggy, and otherwise unenthusiastic cuts of Wonder Bread with gobs of supermarket deli filling in between. The egg salad was so uninspired, not that egg salad in general is a great art I just expected some flavour. The salmon was only marginally better, but a sprig of dill a dish does not make. Tier Two, oh my. I didn't think I'd have the strength, but I soldiered on. The scone, a lifeless, flavourless brick of gluten with remnants that may have been formally identified as cranberries in a past life. I've consumed a lot of terrible things, and barely edible things in my existence, but never had I come closer to the culinary morgue than I did with the "house made" clotted cream. The clotted cream a dollop of pale sickness that reminded me of one thing, a puddle of clarified butter in a crab shack. The aftermath of this foul tasting nightmare still lingers upon my palate and haunts my dreams. I'm not sure what the profile was meant to be, but I'd advise not storing any fish near your butter. Tier Three, the sweets. We've finally reached the pinnacle of this culinary Hindenburg. These so-called desserts were as saccharine, and sickeningly prepared as any Sam's Club brought in company Christmas party. Though I find it peculiar that some of the sweets were dead ringers for supermarket copies. The brownie or whatever pretentious title was given to this dense, barley pliable puck of brown. I'm also rather inquisitive you the inspiration behind that cavity creating treat known as "clotted cream fudge", because just no. I will leave with a positive note, the only thing even remotely worth mentioning was the champagne jam was palatable and could be consumed without a pained face. So with all this being said, how does one really describe an experience that was a complete and total let down from what you had hoped it would be? Well this short, concise, and thorough review is the response to all that which fell short of all expectations I once had. Moral of this story is just like the language this isn't English, but merely broken American.

Beautiful ambience and you heard it here first- the best chicken salad in Indianapolis!!! Tea was rather disappointing though but they made up for it in wine and chicken salad. I will be back for the chicken salad

Nice, sophisticated atmosphere on the top floor of Saks. We got the chicken salad on a croissant, the scone and crumpet. Chicken salad was okay but needed more complexity. The scone was fantastic with the clotted cream and strawberry champagne jam. The crumpet was also very very good. We got the orange marmalade but would choose something else next time. The Yorkshire tea was a good choice.

So elegant. I went here on a "day date" with my wife. We had tea with scones and clotted cream - that was the goal of the trip. We also had sandwiches for lunch. It was fun to go and have a tea party in the middle of the day. It was mostly about the atmosphere for us. There were many tables open on our date day. But, the service seemed overwhelmed or thrown off by our arrival. There was a party of 12 at one table, a party of 4 at another and our party of 2. We had to wait 15 minutes to get someone to seat us (she commented, "She told me there was another reservation, but she didn't give me the details of when or how many.") and then quite a bit more wait time for someone to come to our table. The person who said, "I'll be right back." never came and finally someone who appeared to be helping but not doing his normal job, came out. He said in a surprised voice, "have you been waited on?" From that point on he helped us, and we got service. Probably just a fluke, but it made me feel like I was doing something wrong by being there... Our food took a while to get to us. We both ordered a sandwich and it was just okay. I don't think they were made to the description on the menu. My wife ordered based on the description of the sandwich and asked at one point if she got the correct order because it didn't have many of the items from the menu. We were told it was correct - the time to get the first set of sandwiches was so long, we just let it go. The clotted cream was not smooth like it normally is and the scone was stale. We had this clotted cream and scone from the Tea Room on the Midtown Holiday Home tour and it was amazing. But at the tea room, it was old and not great. Again, it was like we were not quite suppose to be there. Even though we had a reservation, they did not plan on us being there - I really felt like an unwelcome guest. We still enjoyed ourselves by ignoring the situation and enjoying each others company. It was a quiet, elegant place to meet for lunch - just the two of us. We didn't feel rushed and it was an experience worth having. I'd like to go back and see if it is better. But, at $15 / sandwich that my not be any better, I'll just go somewhere else.

Had such a great time at Tillys with my girlfriends. This is my 3rd time there, and I love the atmosphere. They have amazing coffee and great paninis. I love the Ham and Brie, which comes with a raspberry Merlot Jam. Amazing. I also had a scone which was excellent. If you're going with friends with charcuterie board is great to share. I think they only serve mimosas on the weekends, but those were great too. Highly recommend Tillys for a nice ladies brunch or lunch. Great picture spots too!

Adorable, place with well done decor. Great place for Sunday tea with friends. We even took 3 little girls under age 5 and Sharon, the owner was very accommodating. They put us at a table near the back, near some toys to help keep them occupied. You can do a traditional Sunday tea or just order off the menu. The adults enjoyed salads, sandwiches, and soup and everyone was happy with their food. The little girls ordered the princess tea, which was adorable. Great time was had by all. Wonderful place to host a baby shower, bridal shower, birthday lunch, Mother's Day...really any occasion!

Great atmosphere. A little pricey, $29 per person for afternoon tea. Many tea options (jasmine was strong and flavorful) and food served in a three tier tray. Sandwiches were good especially the egg salad. Scone was cold but jam and clotted cream were good. White chocolate raspberry moose was very rich. Decor needs updating.

Great option for a beautiful tea party! You can choose a tea party option that includes: your choice of a pot of tea with free refills, samples of different sandwiches, a scone with your choice of jam, and a sample of pantries. They also have other light fare options such as soup, salads, and other sandwiches. There's an extensive tea list. The egg salad sandwich was surprisingly wonderful!!! I would definitely recommend trying it. We had two little girls with us and they chose to share the princess tea platter that included choice of sandwich, pink lemonade (among other drink options) in a pretty champagne glass, scone, and pastries. It's an elegant setting and the prices are reasonable. I personally think it's more of a snack/brunch, rather than full meal, so don't go too hungry! We made reservations. It wasn't busy for a Sunday afternoon, but I'd recommend making reservations to be on the safe side. This tea room is a great option and worth trying!

I was with a group of 12 women and we had a wonderful time at Tilly's Tea Room. The space is beautiful, spacious, and makes the lunch feel very special. It is fun to be in such a girly space: chandeliers, pink, black/white wallpaper, big tables for groups, etc. So many restaurants these days are crowded or noisy, and it was a pleasure to be able to hear everyone at the table and not feel as if others close by were hearing everything we were saying. Our server was very personable. The menu was extensive and we had trouble deciding because there were so many good choices. Everyone really enjoyed their food. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars and probably why the other reviews are either high or low is the extreme ebb & flow of customers. We were told they had a huge party there the night before, but the day we were there was practically empty. Someone asked for an egg on their avocado toast (an option listed on menu) and were told the truck hadn't gotten there yet so they didn't have any eggs. I get it: If you have big groups (baby/bridal showers), then just a sprinkling of people the next day, it would be very difficult to staff and to stock the kitchen. I recommend going to Tilly's but I'd call ahead to get a reservation and I'd ask if they expect a crowd that day. It seems like it is either packed with people or empty (which feels kind of strange). I am not aware of them advertising at all which could help them be more full and successful day-to-day. Absolutely go to Tilly's though ... with your girlfriends or your guy (they would like it too). Great for groups. Glad to have them in town!
