Traveling Ohio to Chicago, found my serpentine belt shredding with a stop in Lafayette, had to stay the night, called this shop next morning, told them what was going on, they said bring it in ASAP, they had it diagnosed (water pump) in 20min, parts ordered, old parts pulled off and buttoned up in ~2hrs at a reasonable cost!
It’s an entire team atmosphere here, taking care of whoever walks thru their door, Purdue students, travelers, Lafayette citizens, and the shop is cozy while you wait!

“They did a fantastic frame repair to my 2006 Saturn Vue, at very reasonable cost. This model has a design flaw where the subframe to frame mounts collect water and rust out. Had a half dozen places in town turn me down over the phone (policy on frame rust repair) but Chato's came to the rescue, surrounding the old frame mounts with new material welding the frame and subframe together. Honestly, I would have been happy with crude and effective but what I got was very intricate, with multiple pieces and beautiful welds. Not a factory repair but sure looks it, was even treated with paint/rust proof apparently. I'll need to come back for other services!”
“Didn’t get to thank them in person really long day lot going so was in a rush. Really exceptional service, kept me informed on how everything was. Came in to have my transmission inspected/possibly rebuilt due to idling issues I thought it was due to torque converter. Ended up being the IAC sensor, they got me in quick and had everything done quickly had my vehicle out within a few days, pricing was fair as well. The workers there are friendly, and shown good hospitality. I definitely recommend their services.”
