Okay, the PHONE service is abysmal (not this location’s fault, it’s USPS’s fault in general), but I went there on a Thursday morning to send some money checks. A man and a woman were working there, and they were the sweetest. Thank you for a smooth and easy interaction! Date went: 7/15. Please give them a raise or something. I was extremely nervous sending out money and they reassured me and helped me through the whole process. Everything worked out perfectly.

Worst post office I've had the misfortune to deal with. Bunch of administrative Karens who would rather make a nightmare of your day than use a braincell and sort out an issue. Karma is a... terrible mistress... and I would hate to be any of these people in later life

Jamie was a nightmare to work with at this location. She gave us incorrect information about the weight of the envelopes we were mailing and the options that were allowable, (& delivered that incorrect information in a snarky tone). We came back after making the changes she suggested and still had to pay double postage because she was wrong. I would avoid this location if you can, although it doesn’t seem to be busy any of the times we’ve been in.

This is the only post office in Lafayette that I like. Most people sleep on the downtown post office and use the one on 26. That one is almost always packed with a line out to where you do the passport stuff. This one may have a few people waiting, but they are always quick. I will only use this one if I can help it

I had to do an in person verification of my identification. I went in person to do it. I was told it was done. That was 10 days ago. Today. I got a reminder that I need to complete my in person verification. So, have to make another trip. If you can't do something, please tell the person! Now I have mail that I need in a box that I no longer have access to and am at least 10 days delayed on preventing more!

The start of trying to get ahold of the right person was slightly frustrating but in the end all my questions were politely answered and I would recommend this post office to friends and family...

We love our current mail man here on our route. His name is Bill. He's a great mail man for a few reasons. We've nicknamed him= Bill Nye the Snail Guy because he walks slow sometimes (After Bill Nye the science guy on tv. We don't know Bill's real last name and that's the 2nd reason why we call him Bill Nye). We'd be lost without Bill because he's such a great mail man !!! Please keep him on the Downtown Lafayette route !!!
