I have banked with civista for years and honestly I don’t know why. I am constantly disappointed in the way things are handled. If anyone knows a good bank I would love to close my account.

I've been here for years since they switch from the old bank and although I've had a few problems here and there it was fine enough. Recently had a mishap on my end that I took care of with an overdraft fee. But the lady on the other end of the phone kept putting me on hold over and over and over just getting more and more frustrated with me even when I explained that I had fix it on time. She told me she have herself or someone else call me back later to help me. Two hours later someone else calls me and says that they fixed it but they other lady wanted me to know that I need to keep better track of my money and learn what hard hits and soft hits and ect. And literally starts yelling at me over they phone because I said I didn't do anything wrong you can see it in the computer that it was right. And just keps going on about how there not going to help me anymore with overdrafts. So I don't know why this bank employee can get away with yelling at people and literally made me cry but once I'm in better health I will try to switch banks. And I recommend people stay away from this one too.

Terrible service. Went inside there was one lady being helped while there was a group of ladies talking behind the counter. I would say there were probably 4 of them talking. A woman from the drive thru told me to wait a moment. Then the lady from the drive thru had to come back over to assist me. As I was waiting on the lady to deposit my money the group of lady's were talking awful about coworkers. It's sad the girl in the drive thru had to do both jobs.

Horrible service from the bank manager lindsey. I was trying to buy coins like I have done for years From the Vault for my son's collection and I ended up getting escorted off the property because she felt I was intimidating because of my size word for word with the sheriff said

Civista is nothing like UCB. They are pitiful at home town banking. Big bank.. dealing with numbers not people. They might be able to get away with this stuff in Ohio but don't try to bring it down here in Indiana we are a country community with no tolerance for big bank tactics and rules. I've been banking at the same brick and mortar bank for 30 years but I will be leaving them as soon as I can. Thank you civista for showing me how awesome UCB was.

Disappointing on the technical side at this bank. Difficult website. I think it would be a great bank for those people with little money, no need for internet banking and make very basic transactions. Employees are nice, which is a positive. Civista Bank company is not into details. I bank at the State Line location. On their web site, it is Stateline. Small detail but you would expect a bank to be very detailed such as a use of a space in their name. (Look at the county's name for the street and Google maps) Lots of paper given to a new customer but not useful. Terms used on paperwork are not the same as terms used on the website. When you call Customer Service, they do not even identify that you have called Civista Bank up front. You have to wait for some advertisement to finish and then they identify the call. Bottom line -- This is an Armature Bank. As a programmer if I forget spaces and had non-customer driven technical processes, I would be fired.

Don't try to call customer service. You wait for 20 minutes then it automatically disconnects you.

I love this bank! I never have problems always in an out! The only COMPLAINT I have is with the ucb on WALNUT ST! They always close 10/15 mins before they should! An it's never in & out at that branch. I just found out that branch doesn't have a manager! So that's the reason they close when they want to. Other than that branch I love ucb I've had them about 8 years now. I've never had any hidden fee's or problems! Thanks for being the bank people need!

You should bank at UCB if: - You do not want the ability to view your check deposits online - You believe that you should keep all of your deposit receipts - You write down every check that you deposit and what it was for and when you deposited it - You like to hear "we can research your deposits but it will cost $5 a page" - You expect to call your bank and have no one answer and later be told that "the phone lines were down" - You enjoy being transferred to a "supervisor" who doesn't pick up the phone and never calls you back - It is the last bank on earth and you have no other options
