They had what I needed, but they don't ring you up correctly. There are lots of guys standing around that work there, but I guess they don't have time to do price corrections when they raise prices. Two of my items I was overcharged for, and then he charged me twice for the same item. So, I had to go back in for corrections.

Three days after purchasing 6 baby chicks and an incubator, we woke up to the incubator bulb broken and the chicks shivering and dying. Completely heart breaking and we had no clue how long it had been off. I rushed to True Value who thankfully opened business 7 mins early, I explained how I didn’t have time to look for the receipt but that all of my chicks would die if I didn’t get a new bulb immediately. True Value employee promptly got me a new bulb for free and assured me my chicks would be okay. Thankfully the new bulb is working and my chicks are thriving. Thank you True Value!

There are a lot of nice things to put outside a home. However, this is the second time I have been there that they either give me a wrong size or cant fit a size for a drill bit. I was asked if the screw went into a Volkswagen. Wouldn't I go to a auto store?

I asked the man inside if the tool I was purchasing was the correct tool and the gentleman told me yes. It wasn’t the correct tool so I brought it right back within 30min unused because it isn’t the tool I needed and I was told there was nothing he could do about it but this is why I asked before purchase rude snobby customer service I was told to have the packaging then when I presented the packaging it was not “re-saleable” it’s a hand tool not electric I simply brought to my job site couldn’t use it and brought it back moral of the story is I wouldn’t spend another penny in that over priced store

Went into the store and bought a bag of potting mix. It was dry when I opened it and after the fact I googled it . Lo and behold, you can’t use old potting mix or soil. I had purchased $150 worth of spice and flower plants and needless to say , the flowers are dead and the spices are NOT growing. When I called the person that answered the phone said, “ Come on in and you can mix it with a free bag of soil!” I will not shop there anymore! I miss Ace Hardware terribly! They are too cheap to reduce the stuff towards the end of the year. These ma and pa stores becuz we go to big hex stores… atleast I’m getting quality soil! I have to go today get fresh potting mix from Leo’s because all the plants are infested with gnats!!!

Visited here a couple of times since moving to the area. Staff here are super friendly and willing to assist you. They have a wide variety of items for your home improvement needs. Some items are a little pricey compared to big box stores, but surprisingly, a lot are equal to if not cheaper to. You have to keep in mind you're paying for the convenience of not having to drive all the way to the big box stores, which outweighs the cost if you're getting just an item or two. Definitely recommend stopping in and paying them a visit.
