So just to be clear, the people who claim it's overpriced are just wrong or have no clue what things cost. I've been dealing with Andrew for a few years and took my cars here when it was another owner years ago. Andrews prices are BETTER than the previous version of the company and their prices were fair. This company has always been great and honest with me and I have and do recommend them heavily! I take all my vehicles here for work and they LITERALLY go above and beyond when trying to help. Multiple times they have been remarkably helpful. If they can fix it I prefer to take it here over anywhere as they stand by their work and do a great job with very fair prices. I appreciate them tremendously. Wish I could leave 6 Stars!

NOT recommended! After picking up my daughter's car from Madison Auto and thoroughly looking it over, if asked if I would recommend this business to anyone, I would tell them to be VERY, VERY LEARY of Madison Auto Service Center at 605 Clifty Drive, Madison, Indiana.

They worked on my 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport in April of 2023. I felt the cost was extremely excessive for what they did. Upon picking up the truck, it immediately started having front brake issues where it never had before. I am satisfied the brakes had been tampered with so I would have to return.

Picked up a clean S197 Mustang GT that needed a clutch. Picked the clutch I wanted online and called shops around town for installation quotes. Madison Auto Service was the ONLY place in Madison that didn't try to take advantage of me and quoted me a fair price consistent with going book labor. Every other service center in town quoted me more than double the price for labor. Some even outright refused to install the clutch kit I bought from a reputable Mustang performance site and not from their own parts suppliers with ridiculous markups. I was quoted anywhere from $1400-2970 everywhere else, but Madison Auto got me out the door parts and all for less than $800. Madison Auto absolutely takes the crown for fair labor rates in the area.
The reception/service writers were super friendly on the phone and treated my problem like it was their own. They got me in within a week which is nearly impossible these days for a medium sized job like this. They even ran up and opened the door for me when I pulled up, which made me feel like royalty!
In two short days, I'm back to burning rubber and my shifts are buttery smooth. The clutch was properly bled and has good pressure, which certainly took some time to get the air out of after install. It looks like my car was treated well and taken on enough of a test drive to seat the clutch in like a good tech should. Everything seems like it was done to the letter straight from the service manual. Even though I openly stated that there could be potential flywheel or slave cylinder damage and I wouldn't be upset if they had to replace them too, they said they were fine and didn't replace parts they didn't need to just to make more money.
Overall, I can't say enough good things about Madison Auto. They're honestly one of the few straight-shooting service centers left around that prioritize customer service and doing the job right over maximizing profits. They honestly operate with so much skill and integrity it was like walking into a service center 25 years ago back when I was a kid. I'll definitely be taking my little 5 car family fleet to Madison Auto for anything I don't feel like doing in the driveway from here on out ?

Great place. I have had my exhaust done 2 times by Madison Auto. Once in 05 and again last week. Both times I also needed some other work done. Not only did they do an awesome job, the price was far below what I was expecting. The people are always very friendly and helpful. It's like going to a family shop. Thank you for another great job.

Stopped in to see how busy they where and they where booked out a week. I explained I was just passing through and was 1200 miles from home and needed a noisy idler pulley changed. He said he would slide me in . We went next door to eat breakfast and by the time we returned it was ready to go . Hats off to this shop as we still had 2500 miles left to travel. Thanks again
