They mishandle and damage mail. They are late delivering. I've learned the hard way twice with late birthday cards that mailman will not pick up my mail and doesn't visit my box everyday. I didn't know the postal service could be so bad before moving here.

If you have months to wait and don’t care about shipping times, these are your people. Otherwise, USE FEDEX OR UPS. This is essentially a government office with government employees. 99.9% of government employees simply don’t give a damn if you’re happy with their services or not. There is not ownership like you find at a privately owned company where people can get fired. You get the whole “nothin I can do” approach to customer service. If you roll the dice with USPS, don’t be shocked and appalled when things get cocked up.

About a year or so ago, I started receiving obscene dangerous packages out of the blue at my house. When I reported it to the Postal Inspectors, they refused to investigate and prosecute the individual who sent me the packages. The Postal Inspector called packages shooting obscene objects out as "a prank," and he refused to investigate the issue any further.

I recently relocated to the Marion, IN area and have ALWAYS been an avid supporter of our US Postal Service. However, after living in various cities all across the USA, I have never had as many postal issues as I've had here. I usually provide specific review details, especially when the review is either very good or very bad but quite honestly, I fear possible repercussions (from one front window postal worker in particular) at the downtown location. Suffice it to say that USPS Informed Delivery has proven to be very beneficial here. It is very sad, as lower income, physically challenged individual - who still pays taxes, which in turn pays US Postal Worker salaries - is treated with such disrespect by one person regarding delivery issues that were completely beyond my control (of which I had never experienced anywhere but Marion) despite my sincere and deliberate attempts to assist, remedy and thwart any further postal issues. I wish I was able to conduct my deliveries at a different location. I still love our USPS and have signed several petitions to support the preservation and continuation of this historical service - a national treasure (in my opinion) and one that still hasn't been hijacked by privatization and capitalistic greed.

I moved to Marion a year ago, i have found all the staff friendly and knowledgeable. If someone comes from the back and sees a line, if trained,they will open a window. I do think they were a little short handed but now seem staffed sufficiently. Nice to see staff not have their noses buried in a phone and ignoring customers, which happens a lot in other establishments. Thanks Marion Post Office!

Terrible post office and service. Refuses to pick up packages and lies when they don’t . I run a business and count on prompt pick up customers rely on timely delivery. They also deliberately lie on documents on where they have dropped packages off making you look all over your property for them . I will never utilize Marion post office for package pick up , I will take my buisness to gas city post office who is friendly and amazing customer service and no issues with them.

I should of got the lady’s name she helped me save over half my shipping fees by getting the details for each of my packages and deducted the price because I brought my own stamps the greatest service I’ve had trying to mail things
