Turkey Run State Park is a stunning outdoor escape and one of the best places to hike in Indiana, featuring natural geologic wonders and beautiful rock formations. The park offers famous, scenic trails that vary in difficulty, from quite challenging paths with ladders, elevation changes, and wet conditions to lighter hikes suitable for strollers. Hikers can explore deep sandstone ravines, stand in aged forests, see waterfalls and natural pools, and enjoy the endless beauty and scenic views along Sugar Creek. The park is nestled along State Road 47 and includes a huge, well-maintained campground that is RV and tent friendly, along with pool and shelter areas. Visitors can also stay at the very well-maintained and clean Turkey Run Inn for easy access. The park gets insanely crowded, especially in the early to mid-afternoon and on holidays, so arriving early is recommended. It is a totally beautiful, rewarding, and awesome place to see nature.
LOVE Turkey Run State Park. Each trail makes you feel like you’re in a different place. Easy to find seclusion. Love the campground, the little to-go diner across the street at the gas station, and every mile of trails.
