The first time we ate inside. It was awesome and the price was right. The second time we ordered it to take home and the lobster was awful and the total price was like 150.00 !!! I think the total was wrong and they didn’t give us our bread. Prolly won’t be going

This was our first visit and we were impressed. I was told to get the prime rib but unfortunately by the time we got there which was 7:00, they were out of it already. So if you're interested in getting the prime rib, recommend getting there early. Instead I had a ribeye steak which was one of the best I've had anywhere. My wife had their boom boom shrimp which was pretty spicy but also quite good. They can get busy so you might consider reservations or be ready to wait a bit to get a table. Our server was somewhat harried but worked quite hard and earned her tip that night.

I took my fiancé out for her birthday dinner. This was my first time at this restaurant. All in all, I was very disappointed with both the quality of the food, as well as the service. I had requested the steak be cooked medium, but it was delivered medium well, if not well done. I had asked for grilled onions and the waitress said that she did not think the cook would make grilled onions, and I was surprised as I thought it was a commonplace request at a steakhouse. The waitress never asked how the steaks were when delivered at our table. At the meals' conclusion, we requested the check, but no check after waiting some 20 minutes. I had to actually track down the waitress and ask her to please bring it to us. With tip, our dinners totaled $139. It just felt like we were doing them a favor by showing up for dinner at the restaurant, and that our patronage wasn't valued or appreciated. I will not return.

Absolutely horrible and would not recommend… You get 3 sides and they are the same no matter the meal.. Onion soup tastes like broth from a can with unmelted cheese in the bottom and stale nasty bread on top. Salad was basic honestly and so was the baked potato. The steak was okay but needed salt and was served on a plate that barely fit both it and the potato which was strange.. We ended up getting some banana pudding cheesecake to go and only took a few bites. I’m a sweet tooth fanatic but it was mushy and tasted nothing like banana pudding. I never leave reviews, but we spent 131 dollars on lackluster food that we could barely finish, so I had to make an account to save others from our mistake. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere in Bloomington or Nashville, or I’m sure the Texas Roadhouse would even be better..

The steak and salad were okay. Honestly the highlight for me was the soup. Also upset you can't vary from the preset choices. But for an old-school vibes steakhouse in a small town, not a bad experience.

One of the few local places where we can get some really good crab legs. Typically known for really good steaks, although these have not been as good the last few times we've eaten here.Parking: Parking is available and can be difficult during busy times.

The steak was the only thing going for Bynum's, but it had no pizzazz. The availability of sides was severely lacking. After only eating the salad, sirloin and a baked potato, I still felt like I was glutened. It must have been cross-contamination. We will not be going back.

The bread was stale and I could get better at the Grocery store. The French Onion soup tasted like it was out of a can. The cheese in the soup wasn't melted and clumpy in the bottom of the cup. The salad was shredded like it was cole slaw. Pretty sure it came out of a bag. The server was slow and didn't come back to the table to check on us. I had to flag her down to get anything from her. The steak was the only thing going for the place. It was I was extremely disappointed. I won't likely be returning.

Very disappointed in my last visit. The food was descent, and the service wasn't bad until I checked my account the next morning and the bill I signed for had been altered and I was charged more. I called the restaurant and they said they would talk to the waitress but didn't seem to concerned and said they would mail me a check for the difference. It's been about 2-3 weeks and I'm still waiting. How many other people have they done this too that didn't catch it.

Bynum's is the best restaurant in Martinsville. It has a cozy throwback feel in the dining room. Service is always excellent. The food is yummy no matter what you order. And WOW portions. Highly recommend.
