“Built in 1935 from New Deal funds this historic building maintains a timeless quality of its era. A large mural inside entitled “The Arrival of the Mail” was completed in 1937 and restored in 1974. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking is difficult with no designated lot, otherwise a quality location.”

“Do not be fooled by this very small branch outlet. They can provide all the postal services the big boys can. The only drawback here is that the customer service window is only open a half day that being in the mornings. But there is never a line waiting for service. At most there might be one person ahead of you. They have PO Boxes for rent here. The lobby is open 24/7 for access to the boxes and outgoing mail slots. The Martinsville Post Office rents boxes too but the access is limited to daylight hours.A do-it-yourself postal kiosk would be helpful here. You can buy stamps from them plus weigh packages and get labels with the correct postage amount. But I have seen how high maintenance those machines are so maybe it was an experiment that never panned out.”
