Chris is an awesome guy and he made the repairs on my daughter‘s truck in a little over a day. He was very personable and explained everything every step of the way. This is a used car and we didn’t want to spend a ton of money if there were going to be more problems down the line. I recommend Geist Auto 100%.

I had been bringing my car to Stanley Chevy the last few repairs but after $4,500 and the same issue happening I took it to Geist Auto Service. I read the reviews and was hopeful I'd have the same great experience and I did! They were upfront, fully transparent and reasonable in price. They even told me other issues to be aware of as they noticed some other things outside the issue I brought it in for which I appreciate. I'm highly disappointed in Stanley and am regretful in trusting them. However I believe I've finally found a place I can trust which is a huge peace of mind!

It is so refreshing dealing with good people! The air conditioning in my Tahoe has not worked for over a year, dreading the thought of paying thousands of dollars at the dealership, I gave Geist Auto a shot. Even after they explained the GM book said 11 hours to repair, within a few short hours they had my air conditioning blowing ice cold! The cost was less than 2 hours at their shop rate. This will be my go to shop for all my auto repair needs in the future. Thanks guys!

I’m extremely disappointed with the way my fiancé’s car repair was handled at Geist Auto—especially considering this isn’t the first time we’ve had a poor experience here.
The car was dropped off and insurance approved the repairs within the first 7 days of being there. There was no holdup from the insurance company—we spoke to them ourselves and confirmed that approval had already been sent to Geist Auto. Despite that, the car sat at the shop for nearly 5 weeks, untouched and without any proactive communication from the shop.
My fiancé called the Monday before the week we ended up retrieving the keys, and Chris personally told her the car would be finished that week. We took him at his word. When Friday rolled around and there had been no updates, I drove to the shop myself—only to find the car in the exact same spot, clearly untouched.
When we went inside, Chris apologized and promised again that as soon as the red truck came off the hoist (within 3–4 hours), our car would be pulled in and worked on right away. He said it would be completed by the beginning of the following week.
The next week came and went. Still no update. Still no progress. At that point, we had lost all trust. My fiancé went in to pick up the keys—and just like we feared, the vehicle hadn’t moved an inch.
What made this even more frustrating was that Chris cited a cracked rib as part of the delay, yet that injury didn’t stop him from working on other vehicles that came in after ours. He’s also not the only mechanic in the shop. So why wasn’t someone else working on the car? Why weren’t we told about the delay until we physically showed up? That kind of excuse doesn’t hold up when there’s a clear pattern of poor communication and broken promises.
This experience has been the last straw. Between the lack of follow-through, the failure to provide timely updates, and the clear disregard for customer timelines, we won’t be returning to Geist Auto. Customers deserve honesty, professionalism, and respect for their time—none of which we received here.

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Geist Auto. I dropped my car off for a diagnostic, and while the issue was identified the very next day, my vehicle then sat untouched for four and a half weeks.
Each week, I received a new excuse from Chris - the manager who cracked his rib - who continually assured me that my car was next in line and would be worked on as soon as another vehicle was finished. However, even with the “cracked rib” Chris promised my vehicle to be next on the hoist. The cracked rib did not delay him from working on vehicles that arrived AFTER mine. Week after week, these promises were broken. My insurance also approved the work the very first week of my vehicle being in their lot and this is certain because I spoke with my insurance after they approved the work. On top of the delays, I discovered that my car was left unlocked on their lot, and I had to personally go there to lock it myself—a clear sign of disregard for the safety of my vehicle.
After nearly five weeks of broken promises and no actual work being done, I decided to pick up my keys and take my car elsewhere. When I went to start the vehicle, it wouldn’t start due to the battery being drained from sitting for so long without being started. Chris came out to test the battery, which was reading only 9 volts, far below the normal 12 volts. This was entirely preventable had they simply maintained the vehicle properly while it was in their care.
The only gesture of apology I received for the delay, miscommunication, and poor handling of my vehicle was that they waived the diagnostic fee—something that frankly should not have been charged given that no work was ever done beyond identifying the issue on day one.
This experience was deeply frustrating, and I cannot in good conscience recommend Geist Auto. Leaving a customer’s vehicle untouched, unsecured, and neglected for weeks—despite repeated promises—is simply unacceptable. This has caused this ship to lose out on the $3000 they were due to make after fixing the issues and my fiancé will never take his car there again either.

Heard good reviews of their service from my neighbors. I needed to have my brake pads and rotors replaced. I was able to get a same day appointment and they got it done in a couple hours. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Pricing was extremely competitive and the work was done well. Will definitely use again.

Trustworthy and efficient.
If you want to get HIGH-quality service without being overcharged, this is the place.
My car's heat hadn't been working. Chris & Chad were able to show me exactly what was wrong and what was needed to fix my issue. They had no desire for imaginary diagnoses or for charging me from my lack of car knowledge. These guys are good at what they do and they don't take advantage of their customers.

My daughter’s truck broke down at night. It was certainly a stressful time. Geist had excellent customer service. They were very kind and accommodating. It may sound simple and expected, however, was not after three other calls to towing companies that I knew by name. I found Geist (good ratings)via maps after speaking to other companies who were very rude. It was a pleasant surprise. I don’t want to need their services, but would absolutely utilize Geist again without question. Thank you so much!!!
