I highly recommend shopping at this T-Mobile store in Merrillville, Indiana! If you can, request Mobile Expert, Tia M., to assist you. She helped my sister and I purchase the best Christmas gift for our family. She is kind, knowledgeable, and transparent about the design, functionality, and affordability of T-Mobile’s products. My friend went there yesterday and the employee, her name was Andrea, completely screwed up her phone and had to drive all the way out to Apple in Orland for it to get fixed. It’s common knowledge to update the phone first THEN transfer data from the old phone. She needs some retraining it seems

My little daughter had to desperately use the restroom. As she was opening the bathroom door, an associate asked if we were customers. I replied no. Before I could continue my sentence. He said," bathrooms are for customers only". I've been with Verizon for 20 yrs and was considering changing. I hope other store employees won't treat other potential customers like this.

This store is a rip off. They double charge customers for on-line orders. Now its an additional line on my account and nobody knows how it got there but telling me I can remove it. Dont waste your time with T-Mobile!!!

Juan and the other staff were so professional and knowledgeable, they helped me until after the store close. They went over with me on how to use my new IPhone 14!!!! They sat there patiently until everything was back up.Thank you guys you are the Best!!!!

I was unable to send or receive messages or make calls on my phone. We have a mint Mobil plan/account. We had Verizon prior to Mint Mobile. When we changed to Mint Mobil, I received instructions to transfer the data electronically to me Verizon eSim. After returning from Europe and trying to transfer back to Primary account , I was unable to do the above actions. I went into T-mobile in Merrillville and explained my issues. The tech looks at my phone, tosses the phone back to me stating ‘ ma’am, I can’t help you, you have a Verizon. I told him we used to but we changed to Mint-Mobil. He responded “we own mint Mobil, you don’t have mint Mobil, you have Verizon”. I again explained that we have m-mobile, although my phone may say Verizon on it, our phone service is with T-Mobile. He took my SIM card out and stated it was a Verizon SIM card and reiterated there’s nothing he can do for me. I left the Merrillville store and drove to the T-Mobil in Dyer IN.I explained the situation to the tech and within 5 minutes, she corrected the issue.When I left that store, I immediately called the Merrillville/Hobart store and explained the situation. The guy told me I didn’t have to yell. So, again I felt like I got shut down and ignored. I explained to him that I am upset, that the sales clerk or tech, whatever he is was very rude to me and very condescending. He needs more training. I’m not satisfied with the outcome from the 1st store. I explained to the lady at the second store how I was treated at the first store, she stated “I’m so sorry you had to go through that”. She listened to me!The first store refused to listen or believe me. I was insulted by them.

Went to T-Mobile to upgrade my husband and my phones. I was assisted by George and he went above and beyond to help us select our phones and made sure they were working before we left. Thank you George!

Chris B. Is the BEST. He(with the help of tech support) fixed my phone after a T-mobile in Portage said there was no fixing the phone, I just needed to buy a new one. Chris sat with my daughter and I for about 30 min and figured it the problem. I will tell everyone I know to visit Chris B @ Merrillville location. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Store was clean and smelled fresh. I was acknowledged as soon as the door opened by many employees. Thank you Chris B. You saved the day. You are The official T-mobile man.Save yourself the hassle and find a corporate store to handle your phone needs. Or better yet Go see Chris B!!!!! #ChrisBRocks

The employee was helpful but insanely rude. Everything he said he thought he was being funny. I appreciate someone having a sense of humor but straight up calling me stupid for not knowing what a usbc is crossing the line. I was insulted various times by this employee because he felt the need to tell me his thoughts about every decision that I made. Like if I don't want to pay for the insurance of my screen protector then that's my business and not for him to make me feel like I'm being cheap. He also messed up whatever he did because he told me I wouldnt have an issue with one part of my phone anymore and it is still persisting. His name was Darius and I would walk right back out of the store if I ever saw him there again. Overall he was absurdly rude and didn't even do his job right.

Juan has excellent customer service. He brighten up my day after dealing with the Portage route 6 store. Portage office sucks. Juan also explained to me about the Tech 21 warranty that is offered on there website. After 14 IPhones this is the first and last store rep that has EVER explain that to me as well. He deserves a bonus for taking out that extra time with me. Now he has a permanent customer for his store location.

T-Mobile was amazing to work with. Ruben and Kevin were amazing so helpful, understanding, smart, and answered every question I asked with an amazing attitude. I never been to a T-Mobile before and last week I walked out with a brand new iPhone 14! Kevin and Ruben definitely deserve a recognition or a raise most likely both!!
