Essenhaus Village Shops is a great place with a large variety of cute and well-laid-out specialty shops connected by a beautiful pathway. The selection at the quilt shop is beautiful, offering fabric, patterns, and rulers. There is a lovely hotel and grounds with a drive-through covered bridge. The bakery is a must for pies, cookies, and whoopie pies. It is a very relaxing place with outdoor benches, a glider, and a play area for kids. It is a nice after-dinner walk from the restaurant, perfect for browsing, though prices can be a little pricey with great sales. The location also features a fun summer car show and theatre. All shops are closed on Sunday. It is a beautiful place any season and is highly recommended.
Broasted Chicken was amazing, great variety of sides to go with your meal. Salad bar has great options. Dessert bar didn't have pies you have to purchase separately but had other options.
