Postmaster does not follow the laws of the United States and makes her employees work off the clock.

Since moving to Middlebury we've had an ongoing issue with the post office. The situation is that we are required to have a PO Box because we are within a catchment area. So any mail that is labeled to our street address (1/4 mile away from the post office... literarily on the same street) will be returned to sender. Staff tell us, 'just add the PO Box to the address line.' However there are several issues with that seemingly simple solution. First, different carriers have limitations on where they deliver (Amazon doesn't deliver to a PO Box, while USPS won't deliver to our house). Next, or friends and family aren't aware if this crazy requirement. We are expecting our guest child and many people are sending us stuff, not to mention the medical bills, and they are not aware that they need to include a PO Box in address line. In the end their package is returned to the sender, and they have spend twice as much money and the USPS has to expend many more resources to ship it back to sender.l this is to say, 'why can't the post office deliver to our street address?!' We live in such a small town that I see no excuse as to why it's not possible. Come on we live in the USA!!

The younger lady that works in front desk in the afternoon.. if you don't like your job go get another job.. do you realize how disrespectful you are? No need to roll your eye or snap at people.. and it's not just me other people are talking about it to..

We moved into our new house on November 3rd. We didn't even check for mail for almost 2 weeks. When we did finally check for mail, there was none, just a piece of paper telling us to raise our mailbox 12". The previous homeowner didn't have to raise it so I went to the post office and asked them why we needed to. I took a picture to show them, because our box is only 3" shorter than the neighbors. They said it was the carrier's right to request the change. Fine. So we inspected the box and found that the entire post is rotted from the base down. Ok, I now understand why she didn't want to deliver our mail. However, it's way to insecure to add to the top of it. We live on US20 and the ground is packed hard anyway, but with it now being frozen, it's exponentially harder to replace it right now. Once spring comes, we have no problem doing an overhaul. Well today I went to the post office because I knew I had packages. When the lady at the front went to get them, someone in the back said "oh yea, the ones who refuse to fix their mailbox because the ground has been frozen for 3 months". When I was given my package, I told her I heard what they lady said. She said that lady was my mail carrier. Listen, I've only lived in that house for 5wks and 5 days. We had no idea the mailbox was not usable when we bought it. If we were in spring or summer or fall, we would've already fixed it. But it's December and the ground is frozen. Like I said, we live on US20 and a patch job isn't going to work because the first time we get s lot of snow, the snow plow will knock it over. It needs a total overhaul. And that will have to wait. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but there is NO need for the carrier to be so rude. It's not our fault. We haven't even lived there for 6 weeks. I've had so many issues with this post office it's not funny.

The best Post Office I've ever been to. Nicest, most efficient people work here. This post office should be the model for all Post Offices in the USA! Keep up the great work

I usually don't have any issues, but sometimes the line is long & recently they lost a package of mine. First they tell me that my package was undeliverable as addressed (which the tracking code showed), but then was delivered 24 hours later & they said that wouldn't be possible. They pulled up the geo-locator of my package & says it shows it was put in the parcel locker at my work on a Wednesday. I never got it & we check our mail every work day. They said there's nothing they can do...
