We went to the B-A-B in the mall, the lady that helped us, her name was Marshall, she was the only person working at the time. She was very sweet, very kind, I'm sure her stress level was through the roof, but she was still super sweet and kind even with a super long line with screaming kids! She deserves a raise and more!!!!

It was only our second time in this store and our experience was not the greatest. The employee working that day, Demir , seemed like she hated her job. She was very monotone and didn’t do the heart thing. Employees should be a bit cheerful especially when working with kids. Thankfully my child was just happy to be there and to be getting a build a bear on his birthday!

When we arrived we told the staff we were new at doing this, and they were not helpful. I had only ever been once when I was a child and I wanted the experience for my son. My son didn’t get to make his bear, the staff did it. They didn’t put a heart in his bear, or allow him the joy of rubbing it and bringing the bear to life. They didn’t give us a box when I asked, the checkout guy wasn’t going to give us the certificate until we were walking out and I asked about it. We arrived home, and our bear wasn’t even sewn shut! We are extremely disappointed!

They lost their magic of making the bear. I took my 2 year old for his first bear.. he’s a little shy and it wasn’t even special we didn’t even get a birth certificate or even offered one. The heart thing when they used to make you rub it and make a wish it wasn’t even special. Didn’t like it at all. I miss how it used to be when I was little. The magic is just gone. The bear is hard and over stuffed. Never going again.

I had my daughters first birthday party sunday and it was not a good experience they were not prepared for the party they told me i could put up decorations and i brought them to put up never got to two of the three employees acted like it was so bad we were there they were upset because i said i wanted a private party there were one year olds running around they rushed use after we opened gifts

It is March 28th at 8:38 and I just watched the last two employees walk out of the store 21 minutes before they close. What is the point in listing store hours if your employees aren’t there until said hours. Very upset build-a-bear, do better.

We've been here a few times and have mediocre service each time. This particular visit was for my daughter's 6th birthday, so we got the birthday bear and paid $6 for it, plus added sound, an outfit, and two accessories. My daughter was thrilled and sleeps with it every night. After we left she asked of she could add a scent and I felt bad because the lady never asked if we wanted a scent and I forgot. Maybe next time!
Overall, I recommend that you make the experience fun for your kiddo, don't expect someone else to entertain them. It's easy to walk out paying $50-100 per bear.

The lady who told us about the sound was kind. The lady who stuffed the plush had an adictude when I asked her something. The person who dress up the plush was like whatever.

They have a lot of different stuffed animals to choose from. They also have shoes and other clothing items. In this picture, I got a stuffed frog and got him a little suit. (It came with the top and the shorts)

I was a bit disappointed with the experience we had on 4/4/24. I haven’t been to a build a bear since my kids were little. Yesterday I took my grandkids (ages 5 and 1) to build their first bear. The staff was exceptionally polite and all smiles for the little kids however my reason for taking the kids was they could name their bear and get a birth certificate and to me that made it more special for them. Unfortunately the printer was out and they was unable to do this. Had I of known that when arriving I would of came back another day instead I spent the $67 with out the experience for the kids to name their bears and get a birth certificate which was the sole reason for going. Upon check out I was told my the cashier that I qualified for two $10 gift certificates for our next time there, however she didn’t tell me it was going to cost $10 just to activate both cards or I never would of accepted it. I have no intentions of ever going back. The experience we went for we did not get and there is no reason for us to return for a future visit and since I paid before realizing I had to pay to activate the cards I was unable to return them and get my money back.
