Hours: Mishawaka Res is a well-loved 23-acre youth camp and nature center located on the east side of Mishawaka, Indiana. Owned by The Preservation of the Res, Inc., it has been a fixture in the community for over 50 years. The Res offers free access to its scenic trails seven days a week, inviting visitors to enjoy nature walks and explore the beautiful surroundings. The facility is also available for rent, accommodating youth groups, family events, church services, retreats, weddings, graduations, birthdays, and field trips. The camp features various indoor spaces, including a large, well-worn but functional room with a built-in kitchen and a cozy fireplace, ideal for family reunions, baby and bridal showers, and small weddings. The building’s large windows provide picturesque views of the woods and stream outside, creating a lovely backdrop for photos. Outdoor areas, such as the property’s woods and stream, are perfect for picture-taking and outdoor activities, although some guests find the property layout a bit confusing.
